Naruto woke up when he was roughly thrown onto a hard floor. "Ugh... You didn't have to throw me like that, ya know!" He yelled at the man that threw him. He tried to move, but quickly realized that his arms had been tied behind his back.
"Shut up you little brat." The man walked up to Naruto and grabbed him by his collar, lifting him up off of the ground. "If you weren't so valuable alive, you would've been dead by now. So I'd be quiet if I were you." When he was done talking, the man dropped Naruto back to the ground and walked away.
"Are you okay, Naruto? Gaara whispered to Naruto.
"Yeah, don't worry. I'm super tough ya know. What about you, Gaara?" Naruto whispered back with a smile on his face.
"I'm scared. What do you think is going to happen to us?"
"I don't know." Naruto shook his head, the worry plain on his face. "Do you know where we are? Or how far we are from the village?"
Gaara's face fell. "No, I don't. I know a lot of the area around the village, from playing by myself, but I'd have to be outside to–"
"What are you two whispering back there?!" Suddenly another man stepped into the small room that the boys were in. "Get it into your heads that you aren't going anywhere. You two aren't even close to being strong enough to stop us, and this place is sealed off from outside, no chakra, scent or even sound can escape, so your precious daddys won't be able to find you." The man walked away laughing after he was finished talking, thinking he had scared Naruto and Gaara.
Yeah, whatever... Naruto scowled at the man's back as he walked away. He didn't want to admit how scared he was. When he looked over at Gaara, he noticed that he had small tears falling from his eyes. Gaara is even more scared than I am.
"Naruto?" Gaara spoke up again as he tried to subtly wipe at his wet eyes.
"What is it?"
Gaara looked up at Naruto with puffy eyes. "Do you think we'll see our dads again? Will we be okay?"
Naruto didn't know the correct answer. All he knew is that he didn't want Gaara to lose hope. "You will. I promise." Naruto started to quickly explain how he had left a note for his dad and how they were probably on their way to find them. But if they can't find us in this seal... What are we gonna do?
The room that they were in was dark, but Naruto did his best to look at what was around him. Are we in an old house? It seemed like they were in a small room, but he didn't know anymore than that. Suddenly Naruto noticed that the room was lighting up. As he looked to where the source of the light was coming from, he saw that there was a small window, and the moon had appeared from behind some clouds. "Hey, Gaara?"
Gaara looked up at Naruto in confusion. "Yeah?"
"You're pretty good with your sand right?"
"Yeah, I guess so?"
"Do you have any with you?"
"Um, only a little bit. Not enough to really do much though."
Naruto nodded his head as he looked at Gaara. He knew what he wanted to do, but he was scared to do it. No, I have to protect my friend. He took a deep breath to try and strengthen his resolve before he turned back to Gaara, trying to sound more brave and sure than he was feeling. "Alright, I sort of have a plan."
Gaara got a strange feeling in the pit of his stomach as he looked at Naruto. His face didn't show any emotion. He was as serious as he could be. "What's the plan?"
"There's a window in here. Use your sand to open it, and get out. I'll keep these guys distracted. When you get out, head towards the village and find our dads. Then you can tell them where this place is. Can you do that?"
