Several months earlier
After our drive from my house to school, i had told Eren i'd go with him to drop off the work for Yelena. I reasoned that after that, we would just walk to our actual class of day together. After a while he gave in and said yes.
Eren told me i couldn't go inside with him though. That all he'll do is drop off the work and get out. Simple.
It's been 10 minutes.
Honestly i should've known, because now that i know they're both involved in this Mafia business and the shit that went down yesterday they weren't the most civil pair.
Eren told me that i couldn't say a word to anyone about anything i heard. It's all still quite hard to wrap my head around it anyways.
Eren doesn't know the whole story given his father told him somethings when he was just, 14.
I still have some unanswered questions and some that i've wanted to ask for a while. Like what's my father's real name? What does he look like now? Why didn't my mom just tell me from the start? Eren's dad trusted him enough. I've always wondered why i had to train to protect myself all those years.
I've only seen my father in pictures my mom showed me when he was younger. Unfortunately my brain doesn't remember him, i could never remember anything before 6. Memories to me come and go. All i know is my mom loved him dearly that she never found anyone else.
"There you are." Yelena's voice disturbed my train of thought and i hated it.
"What do you want?" i spat, i couldn't stand her, how nonchalant she was like yesterday didn't happen.
"Cmonnn, are you still mad at me?" she said dragging out the word. I rolled my eyes crossing my arms over my chest. She noticed i wasn't interested is this conversation with her and huffed before speaking again, "Fine, come in."
I looked at her confused. Why did she want me to go in? Overall i don't trust her. "Relax i'm not gonna hurt you, We all just need to have a talk."
I sighed before mumbling, "It's not like i would let you hurt me again anyways." as i walked past her and into the room as she held the door.
I heard her chuckle, "Yeah, i know what you Ackermans are."
"And what are we exactly, Yelena?" i asked anger rising inside of me.
"Animals—" she said right before i raised my hand and slapped her across the face. The slap stung my skin, can't imagine what it felt like for her.
"Watch yourself, Yelena. You can disrespect me all you want, but not my family." i spat at her as i gave a chest a strong push, causing her to stumble back.
