Peter took a deep breath and stepped out of his aunt's car. It was the first party he'd been to since he started highschool, actually first party he'd gone to at all. I mean sure there were birthday parties back in elementary school...but never like this.
"Hey Peter." May said causing the teen to turn around to face her. "Have fun." She said with a smile then Peter turned back to the crowd. He wore the most masculine outfit he could find in his closet with his hair styled so he'd actually pass as male and he wore his binder to help with the overwhelming dysphoria. No one knew he was trans since he had moved here after his transition and coming out in 7th grade, so he had to try twice as hard to pass to be sure no one would find out. He then looked around the front lawn with caution, not really knowing what to do.
Teenagers all stood outside of Liz's mansion, most of them drinking, or already drunk. Peter awkwardly walked up to the front door, which was already wide open so there was no use in knocking. He entered the large, modern, rich looing house and inside was even worse than outside. Drunk teens filled the hallways along with straight couples making out all over the place. He looked into each corrider and saw different groups of people. Jocks in the living room fooling around, likely to break something, weebs and geeks in the kitchen talking about literally anything, and then the mob of people in the main area of the house. Most of them dancing and then Flash Thompson at the DJ stand controling the music. Peter decided to stay in that area and stay under the radar as much as possible. But is that ever really possible? Of course not.
Suddenly Flash's loud voice from the microphone stopped and it only went down hill from there. Flash stumbled through the crowd; obviously drunk and went towards Peter... and the crowd's gaze followed. Flash stopped just a few feet away from Peter and started talking.
"Heyyyy you look great!" Flash said loudly, making the 'hey' extra long. Peter just stood there not knowing why Flash was even talking to him.
"Flash what are you doing?" Peter whispered.
Flash then pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and handed it to Peter. The paper saying 'Flash Thompson,, XXX-XXX-XXXX' Peter just stared down at the Paper confused, "What is this?" He asked.
"It's my number Peter, take it or leave it." Flash answered before going back to the DJ stand and doing exactly what he was 2 minutes before. Peter placed the paper in his back pocket, though he still had no clue why Flash would give him of all people his number. Then he felt someone tap his shoulder and he quickly turned around to see Ned and MJ standing behind him.
"Hey guys!" Peter greeted his friends who had finally shown up.
"So what'd Flash say to you?" MJ asked curiously.
"Oh... nothing I dunno he's drunk probably was nothing." Peter answered.
The group then decided to go outside to talk more. With Freshman year being just a few days away they wanted to talk about anything not school related before the mounds of homework started. They hung out by the campfire some other group started and abandoned for the rest of the night until May came and picked all of them up.

Peter woke up later than usual, probably from staying up till 1am reading comics and tech magazines. He sat up in his bed and grabbed his phone off the bedside table. He was still wearing the clothes he wore to the party, but he did take off his binder once he got home the night before.
He stood up from the bed and heard a paper crumple in the back pocket off his pants; that's when he remembered that Flash had given him his number. Peter pulled out his phone and opened the messaging app. "I can't believe i'm about to do this." Peter thought to himself as he entered the number into the button at the top of his screen. Then typed out the message, 'Hey Flash it's Peter, are you sure you meant to give me you're number?' And regretfully hit 'send' but oddly enough the message didn't go through. A pop up message read 'You don not have permission to message this user'. Peter decided he'd have a little fun and try to break through the barrier that Flash had up, or who he thought was Flash. Peter simply figured that he had forgotten to give him the ability to message him. Peter went over to his computer and was able to break through the wall withing a few minutes, and retyped the message and this time it went through.
Peter sighed and figured it'd be a while until Flash texted back but surprisingly the little 3 dots quickly showed up on the phone screen.. but then went away a second later. Then it was another five minutes of Peter sitting on his bed staring at the screen before the dots returned and he got a message back.
???
> I'm not Flash, you've got the wrong number.> Also how the hell did you text me? I have a guard on my phone so this doesn't happen.
> Who the hell are you?
"SHITSHITSHIT!" Peter's thoughts screamed as he hurriedly typed up a message.
Peter
> OMG I'm so sorry! I thought you were someone else, I didn't mean to break down YOUR fire wall, I thought this was someone else,,, which I already said. Eiteher way I am so sorry about breaking the barrier you had on your phone, I thought this was someone from my school and that he'd still be asleep and that i'd just break the barrier wall to text him real quick.> Which of course doesn't help anything, it still justifies as hacking.. which is illegal.. PLEASE DON'T CALL THE COPS ON ME- I'm so so sorry!!
???
> Kid, calm down.> How long did it take you to take down my firewall?
Peter
> uhh no more than five minutes probably.. why????
> TEN HOURS MAKING THAT STUPID WALL FOR IT TO BE HACKED IN LESS THAT FIVE MINUTES BY A LITERAL CHILD?!> Alright who the hell are you.
> Hydra?
> Alien?
> Who hired you?
Peter
> My aunt gave me my phone? A guy from school gave me his number and must've written it wrong?> WAIT- YOU THINK I'M APART OF HYDRA??
> WHY WOULD I BE A PART OF THAT?! THEY'RE LITERALLY WORST THAN NAZI'S!
> I'm just some kid from Queens who was given the wrong number and just so happen to be a genious smart enough to break your weak fire wall
???
> Alright, it seems you're telling the truth Paige.> But where'd you learn to code like that? It took me at least 5 years to learn something that advanced.
Peter
> Please. don't call me Paige for 1. and for 2. How do you know who I am? Did you track me or something? and 3. My uncle tought me some things... before he died, but a lot of things I do are self-taught.???
> I merely asked my A.I to find you based off your phone number, but fine if you don't want me to call you by your name, what would you like me to call you?> Also; impressive, and sorry about your loss kid.
Peter
> Call me Peter please.. and thanks> What are your pronouns btw?
> And what should I call you?
???
> Call me whatever you want, and he/him> But I do need to get going kid, nice meeting a fellow genius like myself.
Peter
