A loud beep came from Juliettes alarm once again signaling that it was time to get up and get ready for school. Today Juliette decided to just meet Jen at school since all the cheerleaders were meeting up during lunch to discuss rules or some shit. Exciting the house, it was a very hot and sunny day, which is Juliette least favorite type of weather. She loved when there was a storm and she could hear the thunder and see lightning; it made her feel at peace and made her day more enjoyable. Of course, it didn't rain too much in Capeside.Juliette made her way through the hallway stopping at her locker to grab some of her books. As she was putting them in her bag she could feel a pair of eyes on her back. When she went to turn around she met the gaze of Rick O'Connor. Rick was one of the most popular jocks; well that was what the cheer team told her. If you got with him you'd most definitely be one of the popular kids. The boy started walking over when he noticed that he caught Juliettes eye.
" Hey I'm Rick; I noticed you got on the cheer team and I'm the quarterback for the football team. Usually the guys and you cheerleaders hang out so I thought I'd introduce myself now." The boy smiled down at her noticeably looking at her boobs... what an ass.
" Oh yeah, the girls might have mentioned you before, but I haven't been able to put a face to the name." Juliette closed her locker and started to walk towards her first class. Juliette could tell that the boy was an overall jerk, but he could be of use to her. Why not just play along with his game so she could get something out of it. The girl smiled up at the jock again, " I'll make sure to cheer for you on the field, don't worry." Rick gave her a smile and just shook his head, " Yeah there'll be a lot of girls out there, but I'll make sure to look for you."
' Wow what an honor' she thought sarcastically. Just as she was about to part ways with the boy; he grabbed her arm to stop her. " Even though we just started talking, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the dance with me."
This question took Juleitte by surprise, the cheer captain was always supposed to go with the captain of the football team, but maybe not this year. This would be a perfect way for Juliette to start her new chapter at Capeside, but she would make sure that her friend Jen would have a guy too. "Sure I'd love to go with you, but my friend Jen hassss to have a date. Maybe we could all go together. Do you think you can set it up?" Rick smirked at the girl's answer before responding, " That request will be a very easy one; there's already a line up of guys that want to ask the two of you out. Thankfully I got to you first, but I've got the perfect dude for Jen. His name's Cliff and we'll pick up you and Jen at around 7:30. How does that sound?" Juliette smiled at his answer and slipped half of her body through her classroom door, " That sounds perfect. I'll see ya later!"
And with that, Juliette and Jen both had a date to the dance. The old Juliette would have gone out with Pacey Witter, but just as friends. Now she had multiple dudes that found herrr hot, so she did not need a pity date. She would most definitely dance, drink, and kiss the dude at the end of the night, but she really didn't care what happened. All that mattered to Juliette was being in the moment and not worrying since she spent the better half of her life doing just that.As she sat back in her seat for english class she noticed that Pacey's usual dorky smile wasn't on his face. He just looked down at his desk not saying a word; Juliette knew this was probably because of Ms. Jacobs. "Someone explain to me the state of Catherines mind as she drove Heathcliff away."
Nellie Olsen excitingly raised her hand in the air waiting to be called on. "OO OO! It was her tragic and dysfunctional way of letting him know she loved him." Nellie was always a know it all, so when Ms. Jacobs denied her response and Juliette was shocked. " Yes, that's the most obvious interpretation of the moment. However, I think it goes deeper than that. For some reason, this story is regarded as some great love story. But the reality is that Heathcliff and Catherine never belonged together. They should have never been together. Catherine was essentially a mess, Heathcliff was basically a decent guy who had a lot to learn in life, and he was better off without some whimpering and mentally unstable wet rag following him around." As Ms. Jacobs explained to the class her eyes were noticeably on Pacey the whole time. Ms Jacobs threw up her hands, " The whole thing was wrong. Never should have happened. Bronte should have saved her ink."
