The sun was just beginning to set, casting a warm golden glow over the castle's backyard. The air was filled with the sweet scent of blooming flowers and the sound of birds singing their evening songs. In the midst of this serene setting, the Beast family was gathered around a picnic table, enjoying a rare moment of togetherness.

Ben was at the grill, expertly flipping burgers and hot dogs while humming a tune. Madi was arranging a colorful array of salads and snacks on the table, her laughter ringing out as she exchanged playful banter with Ben. Ten-year-old Bree was chasing after their energetic golden retriever, Max, her giggles filling the air as Max darted and weaved through the grass. Her younger brother, Miles, was busy constructing an elaborate fort out of blankets and cushions on the lawn, his face scrunched up in concentration.

"Look, Mom! Look at my fort!" Miles called out, waving his arms enthusiastically.

Madi turned to him with a beaming smile. "Wow, Miles! That looks amazing! You did such a great job."

Miles' face lit up with pride, and he returned to his fort, adding the finishing touches. Meanwhile, Bree managed to catch Max and was now sitting on the grass, stroking his fur and whispering secrets into his ear. Max's tail wagged furiously, his tongue lolling out in a doggy grin.

Ben called everyone to the table. "Burgers and hot dogs are ready! Come and get 'em while they're hot!"

The family gathered around the table, the chatter and laughter increasing as they dug into the delicious food. Ben recounted a funny story from a Council meeting, making everyone laugh so hard that Bree almost spilled her drink. Miles, with a mouth full of hot dog, tried to tell a joke he had heard at school, which only made them laugh harder.

As the meal wound down, they moved to the fire pit where Ben had prepared everything for making s'mores. The kids' eyes lit up with excitement as they roasted marshmallows over the open flame, carefully sandwiching them between chocolate and graham crackers.

"Here, Mom, this one's for you," Bree said, handing over a perfectly toasted s'more.

"Thank you, sweetheart," Madi replied, giving her a warm hug. "It's perfect."

The sky had turned a deep shade of blue, and the first stars were beginning to twinkle overhead. They all sat around the fire, cozy under blankets, sharing stories and enjoying the comforting warmth of the flames. Max lay at their feet, contentedly gnawing on a bone.

As the evening wore on, the conversation turned to dreams and plans for the future. Bree talked about wanting to be an astronaut, and Miles announced his intention to build the world's biggest treehouse. Madi and Ben shared their own dreams, encouraging the kids to always reach for the stars.

Finally, as the fire died down and the night grew cooler, they all headed inside. The kids were tucked into bed with kisses and whispered good nights. Downstairs, Madi and Ben sat on the couch, holding hands and reflecting on the wonderful evening they had shared.

"Days like this remind me of how lucky we are," Madi said softly, resting her head on Ben's shoulder.

"Yeah," Ben agreed, kissing the top of her head. "We're a pretty great team." It was silent for a moment, "Did I mention I'm in love with you?"

Madi playfully rolled her eyes as she lifted her head from Ben's shoulder, to see Ben sporting a teasing smile. Madi kissed Ben's lips, softly, "Yes, Ben, you did mention it." Ben laughed, softly before pulling Madi into a soft kiss, once more.

Madi was taught that love is weakness and she was meant to be evil but she met an amazing guy, who taught her that you can be whatever you wanna be and that love is really amazing. Madi was always known as Maleficent's other daughter but someone taught her that she was more than Maleficent's other daughter and that someone was the person who will forever bring the best out of her, Ben. In the end of the day Madi got her happily ever after. Who knew villains could also have a happily ever after?
