Chapter 6 ✧

"H-HEY! S-STOP!" His laugh was cute and I wanted to listen to it forever, but it was already late. So I stopped and laid down exhausted.

"G'night Scara,"

"Good night, love you,"

"Wait- what did you just say?"

"OH- uh nothing just get some rest," he gave a slight smile and went to bed..

As for me, all I need was to close my eyes and I lost track of reality.

- Scaramouche POV -

I woke in the early in the morning, it was probably about 5 o'clock. I felt something on my stomach, I look down to see Kazuha's arm wrapped around me.

I try my best not to wake up him while moving his arm, but then he hugged me tighter.

"Where do you think you're going, hmm?" His voice was so soothing and calm.

"Well, the people at the harbor, they didn't look like normal Liyue people.." Kazuha opened his eyes, probably in shock of what I said.

"WE NEED TO LEAVE. NOW," Kazuha quickly got up from the bed and pulled me over. He got everything leaving not a single trace that we were here.

He rushed down the floors while I stumbled to catch up with him. He left a money bag by the front the counter and thanked the person, then ran off again pulling me by the wrist.

The streets were empty making it easier to move swiftly. We got to the harbor and looked for our boat. But it wasn't there..

"Damn it! Those people were treasure hoarders!" I felt guilty since it was my fault the boat got stolen in the first place.

I suddenly remembered that I had a question to ask for Kazuha, maybe now could be an okay time.

"Hey Kazuha, who ... who stabbed you ..?" He turned to look at me with tears slowly forming in his eyes. I panicked and hugged him.

"It was one of my childhood friends. He's always hated the Fatui.. He thought I betrayed our trust by being in your house.." I realized that, if I had never brought hin to my house. He wouldn't have gotten hurt.

Whenever Kazuha is with me he gets hurt, and I can't bare the feeling of knowing he's hurt. If I were to keep him safe, it's best I keep him away from me..

"Kazuha, do you have anyone you can stay with?"

"Yeah- Wait, why are you asking ..? Are you going to leave me? Again?" I could feel the sadness in his voice, and it pained me deeply.

"Look Kaz-" I was cut off by him kissing me, I can tell he didn't want me to leave him. Not again. I pulled away and looked into his saddened eyes.

"You're not safe with me .. whenever you're near me you get hurt,"
