‘’Sophie just get out!’’ Biana yelled from outside the changing room for the fifth time. I had worn a sparkly navy blue mid-thigh dress. I swear it looked horrible on me. And when I swear, it’s really bad. Biana banged onto the door again. Giving myself a last look, I slowly opened the door only to find Biana gasping at the sight of me.
‘’I know I look bad, no need to tell.’’ I reminded her for the twentieth time. We’ve been here at the mall for at least three hours and searched every boutique which was open for my dress. Biana had already found her dress at the first boutique. It was silver and complemented her green irises.
‘’No Sophie! This is great! It looks so good on you!’’ Biana corrected me. She was jumping up and down the whole time. I don’t get why she was feeling so ecstatic about the whole the-dress-looks-ugly-on-me situation.
‘’No Biana! This is not great! It doesn’t look good on me!’’ I mocked her but she shook her head and remained the giddy self she was. It was kind of amusing. It was like a mouse getting cheese or a nail being painted perfectly.
‘’Shut up! You’ll totally have two boys on your trail tonight.’’ She winked at me and I groaned. That’s the thing I don’t want. Attention. I really like Keefe but I have this strange connection with Fitz. Looking into his mesmerizing eyes just makes me ---- Shut up Sophie! Stop fantasizing about him. You already have a boyfriend! My mind wondered off to the letters. Who could it be? Biana snapped her fingers in front of my eyes taking me out of the trance.
‘’You’ve been zooming out a lot lately. May I know where?’’ She wiggled her eyebrows at me. I sighed.
‘’No it’s a little perso---‘’ I was cut off with Biana grinning like a beast.
‘’I knew it! I knew it!’’ Biana jumped around me. People were staring at us. Ugh! Just what I needed right now, public humiliation.
‘’Biana I don’t know what goes in or out of that perverted mind of yours but just know that it’s far away from what you’re thinking.’’ I told her. Biana is Biana. She is outgoing bold and social. Well I, on the other hand, am depressed all the time for no apparent reason. I like to stay quiet and be to myself. Biana and I are like water and fire but still we are best friends. I don’t know if I’ll be able to live without her and her crazy shit, even when it annoys me. ‘’Does the dress really look good on me?’’ I asked her again changing the subject.
‘’Good, No. Great, Yes.’’ She said while giving me thumbs up. Idiot. We needed to get out of here fast. We’ve been off schedule lately. Really off schedule. We were supposed to go to the mall yesterday but thanks to Biana we couldn’t. The thing is that Biana is scared of rabbits. And yesterday, a rabbit was sitting outside the entrance of the mall. The sad truth is that Biana is apparently, no make that definitely, scared of rabbits as one bit her when she was younger. So being the stubborn self, she stayed put in the car. This is how, my dearest friends, our hopeless tragedy ended.
We bought the dress and went straight to Biana’s house. Meaning I’d have to face HIM and HIM. I quickly ran up the stairs and into Biana’s room. Shutting it close and breathing heavily when Biana stepped inside. Time was running out. We had to get ready soon. Biana did my hair and makeup since I have no clue what to do with eyeliners and bobby pins. I slipped on my dress, avoiding the mirror as I knew I looked horrible, and wore the silver stilettoes Biana gave me. We hurried down the stairs and waited for the boys.
After a few minutes I had a call from Keefe that he was busy and wouldn’t attend the prom. I was disappointed at first but then came in the gloriously looking Fitz making all my worries vanish away. He looked so devouring and hot…. Hot would be an understatement of the century. He was looking edible. Ewe no, I’m already catching the Biana flu.
Reaching the prom, I scurried away to the bar. I know we’re underage in the human world but over here there are no restrictions. I needed to loosen up. Being around Fitz gave me chills. ‘’Hi, can I have a drink?’’ I asked the very hot looking bartender.
‘’Anything for the pretty lady, the name is Dex.’’ The bartender, Dex, said. His voice was sultry.
‘’Sophie. Can I have the strongest drink here?’’
‘’Sure’’ He smirked.
After nine no twelve shots later, I was still with Dex. He was quite interesting.
‘’Wanna get out of here?’’ He asked with a smirk plastered on his face but I couldn’t care less.
‘’Sure.’’
