chapter 12 days daryl p.o.v

i seen a light swing back and fourth. i started to open my eyes and try to cut my sight into focus. "daryl." i heard softly but noises went away. i saw nothing but darkness and fell back asleep. i woke back up. i jumped as i was a tiny bit scared. i looked up and seen rick,carl and michonne. "daryl." rick said handing me a water bottle. i took it a took a sip. "how long did i sleep?" i asked. carl looked at me. "months maybe almost a year." he said. i looked at him and looked at rick. "yeah you were out for a long long time." rick said. i was happy that the group was back. "beth kept saying that the group was still out there but i always thought it was nothing but a joke." i said. michonne looked at me. "what happend to beth?" she asked. i looked at the ground. "beth on no beth!" i said with a scream. i ran toward the baby stuff and grabbed diapers and milk bottle with milk powder and threw them in my bag fast. i seen a bear on the way out. rick was behind me "what are you doing?" he asked. he looked down as i put diapers in my bag. i slowly stood up and put the bag around my back. "did she get? does? does she have?" he asked. i shock my head yes. "and you the?" "yes rick i am the dad." i said.

"daryl its been so long she could have done it by now or even worse." rick said. i started to run out the door. "wait daryl." i heard from behind me. i turned and seen rick jogging toward me. "lets all go." he said. i shock my head yes. rick ran into the manger closet. i opened the door to the store and looked around for walkers. rick,carl and michonne were behind me. "ready?" i asked. everyone shock there head yes. i opened the door and started run as fast as i could to the woods. i seen my ankle was wrapped up but it didnt stop me from running. i ran into the trees. "we had a house with a small barn. me and her took down the barn and used it to build a wall around the house." i said. "how far away?" michonne asked.

we were standing by the wall i through my bag over the wall and climbed it. i jumped down to the ground. everyone followed. "wait here." i said. i ran into the house. "beth!" i screamed. i ran into the bedroom and seen it was all made up. i ran into the kitchen. i seen dirty towels and shirts. i ran to the bathroom and seen a rubber duck floating in the bathtub. i ran into the living room. "beth?" i said. she wasnt in there. i looked all over the house and she wasnt there. i started to breathe hard. i through a table acrossed the room. a piece of paper floated down to the floor. i walked over and picked it up.

"dear daryl, i had to go. walkers made it through the back wall on the right side that i did, i wasnt safe. i tried to hold it down as long as i could,but my stomach was to big at the time. i went out looking for you for days and days. the bed started to get colder. i thought you were never coming back. i tried looking for you west north and south. im looking for you in the east now. i packed what i could and left. i didnt think i could see you. i wrote this just incase. i always have alittle hope. im tearing up just writeing this. i love you mr. dixon. ill always be your girl. forever. :) beth."
