chapter 19 darkness ahead (daryl prov)

i came back to my side. i put the supplies on the table in the living room. i started to close up the door. i could no longer see the underground tunnel door. i walked back and still seen beth. i got on my knees and started to cry. "beth please wake up." i said. i put my hand in hers. "beth." i said. i looked back down at her and seen her eyes still closed. i starred at her eyes closed. i let her hand go and kissed it. i started to stand up slowly. i rubbed her forehead. i heard emily crying. i ran to her. i grabbed her. i bounced her up and down. "your ok sweetie." i said. i kissed her forehead. she was breathing funny. i looked at her. "emily?" i asked. she was breathing heavy. i laid her down. ill get you milk. i said.

i walked down and started to make her a bottle. i heard coughing from emily's room. i turned the cap of the bottle. i ran back to emily. she had blood on her little lips. "em..." i said. i dropped her bottle of milk. i put my hand in my face. "no not you." i said. i sat her up. she was still breathing. i wiped the blood off her lips. "youll be ok." i said. i laid her back into her bed. i tucked her in slowly. i kissed her little forehead. i walked back to beth. "beth." i said. "emily is sick. i need a sign and your the only hope i have. please open those beautiful eyes." i said. i looked at her and started to shake her and yell. "BETH!" i screamed. i held her head into my chest. i laid her back down. i tucked her back in. "its ok." i said. "im just worried." i said. i looked at beth. i sat against the wall. my head was laying in my lap. "beth..emily. dont leave me." i said in a low voice.
