His muffled whisper, coming from his mask covered lips, maked Park Chae Young looks around her surroundings. She can't believe that she just dozed off in his car.... embarrassing !!! In her defence, she was exhausted physically, mentally and emotionally. Chaeyoung, now a days practically lives in her studio, preparing for her solo debut. Now, she has to bear the emotional damage because of Jaehyun. She mumbles an almost non-audible 'thanks' to Jungkook, who has driven her to YG building like a proper gentleman. But this simple chivalrous gesture of his is not enough to change his image, that's already bored in Chaeyoung's mind. Jungkook sighs and shakes his head in frustration.
"I am gonna talk to him about this"
He yells at her back but she doesn't look around, rather yells back to him
"You better apologise to him"

Jungkook tightens his jaw and starts his car. He holds onto the so steering so hard, that his veins m pop up. He tries hard to calm down his raged heart which has been shredded time to time by her abhorrence. Countless times Jeon Jung Kook has tried to convince his foolish heart to not to have feelings for this merciless woman but failed miserably. Even after her continuous dismissal, ignorance and loathing towards his whole being couldn't stop his racing heart. It's painful, still he cherishes it so much. Now that Jungkook thinks, he and Chaeyoung are quite similar. She is also chasing after Jaehyun, who is not a little bit remorseful about his actions. Jungkook has known Jaehyun for a long time and he is having a hard time to believe that Jaehyun has actually broken up with her because of him.
"I need to talk to him"
He tells himself. He can't see Chaeyoung in pain, rather he will endure it. He has been enduring it. Now it seems much easier to face her loathing than her tears.
The very next day, everyone witnesses the famous maknae of the world's biggest boy group to arrive at the drama shooting site at Busan. And a huge coffee truck, holding a big banner of Jaehyun also arrives following him. Though his arrival is not informed or expected, everyone there, just assumed that he has come to congratulate Jaehyun on the shooting of his first drama. The friendship of the '97 group is well-known in showbiz and about their recent rift, no one has any idea. Jungkook walks straight to his friend of once upon a time and embraces him. Jaehyun complies with his action but hisses his disgust into his ears.
"What the fuck are you doing here Jeon Jung Kook?"
Jungkook chuckles and breaks off their hug to face him. Annoyance is evident on Jaehyun's handsome face but Jungkook expected nothing less.
"Can we talk?"
The other guy had no option but obey his request. The whole shooting crew, director, producers, fellow actors are here. Jaehyun can't afford to create scene here. So he nods and curses his old friend in his mind. Jeon Jung Kook smiles at others and request them all to enjoy the coffee.
"Tell me the real reason"
Jungkook demands an answer as soon as they enter Jaehyun's van but his friend frowns at him.
"Reason?"
The BTS maknae exhales, tries to calm himself. Is not it obvious to Jaehyun that he was asking about him and Chaeyoung. How can he be so oblivious to his girlfriend? Chaeyoung deserves better than this !!!
"Did you really break up with Chaeyoung because I had feelings for her? That's so childish Jaehyun"
"Oh"
"Oh??? How can you be so reluctant? Is it true ? Am I really the reason?"
"Lower your voice Jungkook. Will you?"
"Answer me !"
"Oh yes !! I hated the idea that you were eyeing my girlfriend. Satisfied?"
"Watch your damn tongue!!"
Jungkook's face has turned scarlet in fury.
"I started liking her before she was going out with you"
Jaehyun laughs.
"And you should have stopped when she chose me over you"
Damn, that hurts like hell !! But the jerk is right, Jeon Jung Kook has no place in Park Chae Young's heart.
"Then why? Why are you doing this to her?? She is in pain. Are you feeling bad for me?? I am okay Jaehyun, I will get over this. I promise"
Jungkook pleads, holding his old friend's hand.
"Who are you fooling Jeon Jung Kook? You will never get over her otherwise you wouldn't have come to me on her behalf. Honestly, after that night, Chaeyoung always reminded me of your declaration. It never put me on ease, I needed sometime away from her to sort my feelings but that girl doesn't get it. Moreover, she is doing exactly what she shouldn't do"
"What??"
"Involving you"
At that very moment Jungkook's manager signals him to leave. He puts on his famous black bucket hat and hugs Jaehyun again, just to whisper into his ears.
"I am already involved and if you don't go back to Park Chae Young, you're gonna lose her"
"To who?"
"Me"
