Power.

You felt it so clearly within yourself, coursing through your veins, filling every pore, every crevice. Felt it so overwhelmingly, you could hardly contain your glee when you let go.

"What is this?" Asked Heimdall, his golden eyes searching for the source of change. You hadn't done anything yet, but the change in the atmosphere was nearly stifling. A palpable heaviness surrounded you.

You smiled manically.

"Oh, Heimdall. How could you not know? If you're so all seeing, how did you not see this? How did you not see me?" You raised your hand to his line of sight. A single flicker of green magic flew from your palm.

"Princess, that is no match for me. I saw you, but you were nothing to be concerned about. Your smile only grew.

"Are you sure? Did you really see me?" You lowered both your head and your hand, looking as if ashamed.

"I'm sorry-" He said as he moved towards you, arms out in reassurance.

Your head snapped back up. They were blood red.

"Do you know what you created for not seeing me, Heimdall?" He shook his head slowly, hesitation marking his features. "Do you regret it?"

"I don't-"

And then.

An explosion.

Of light. Of green light. Of ice.

And the echoes of your manic laughter, ringing through the kingdom.

"You made a monster." Then you gingerly stepped around what was Heimdall, and picked up his treasured sword.

And you were gone.

---

You never expected to land in a place so... green.

The ground was green, the trees, all so green.

"This is where his mother is?" You looked around, took in the dumpy little houses, the animals, the dirt beneath you, the too bright light.

"How tragic." You said, striding forwards to the house in the distance.

You heard a click behind you. "Are you another one?"

"Another what?" Your lip curled at the sight of her unruly red hair, her horrid clothing. And the... thing in her hands.

"Asgardian thing." Your eyebrows arched up delicately. How...vulgar. It was quite funny. You smiled. You moved towards her.

"I have a weapon! Don't come any closer!" You froze. You werent going to do anything but...

Mortals. Pathetic.

"You don't scare me." she raised the weapon to line up with your forehead.  "But you should fear me." She backed away, fear in her eyes.

"I've heard about you." You cocked your head to the side, eyebrows raised. "I know who you are."

Now you smiled. "And what have you heard about me, darling?"

"I've heard about what you did to your mother." Your heart seemed to freeze for a moment, before starting again. Your mother. The useless wench did nothing for anyone. What you did was reasonable. She was a real monster. "I've heard about the monster you've become."

"You don't know her then." Said a familiar voice from behind you. You whirled and saw Ranlanair. He tilted his head to one side, one eyebrow arched. "I thought I told you not to come after me."

You shrugged.

"It never stopped me before." He smiled.

"I suppose I should have expected that."

"Um, hello? I was in the middle of a dramatic moment, if I could have the princess bitch back."

You whirled to the inferior red-haired girl, a scowl on your face. You wanted to hurt her. You wanted to have her blood drenching your hands. You wanted to hear her delicious screams echoing in the eerie silence. You wanted to unleash a great wave of-

Then a hand landed on your shoulder.

"Calm down, Yeira." He grabbed your hand and smoothed it out on his palm, and the few embers of magic starting to flare died down. You looked back at him. His familiar form. His Familiar smile. His touch. "It's okay. You're safe. She wont hurt you."

Just...

Ranlanair.

And then you were calm.

What would you do without him?

no.

The real question is...

What would you become without him?
