After a whole day of rain, the sun finally decided to show up the next day. I slowly opened my eyes to the bright sunlight coming from the window. It took me a few seconds to realise where I was. I realised that while I was seated on a chair my head was on top of the bed in front of me. Well, there goes my back.

"Do you have nothing better to do than babysit a soldier?", I heard a not-so-familiar voice but immediately knew who it belonged to. I quickly lifted my head and saw bored grey eyes staring at me. I realized I had a massive headache, and his snarky attitude was not what I needed early in the morning. "I am sorry, but someone screaming bloody murder at night didn't leave me much choice.", I shot back.

"Tch."

I rolled my eyes, stood up and took a deep breath. "Well, how are you feeling?"

"Fantastic.", he replied. Sarcastic. Again.

"Then you're free to go." Yes, please go before I put your head through the wall. Y/N, calm down.

"My shirt." I looked at him confused before I realised what he meant.

"Oh, it was dirty, so I have given it for wash. I'll return it once it's clean and dry."

"So, what am I supposed to do now? Walk around the halls half-naked?" I tried to hold in my laughter as I imagined him walking around shirtless. The girls would surely lose it. Wait, what?

"Oi, have you gone deaf?" He sure is talking too much today. Sigh. I preferred silent Levi.

"Umm, why don't you take my Jacket? We're probably the same size. You can give it back later." I gave him my grey jacket that I had hung on the chair I had been sitting on.

"Tch. Fine." I saw him put it on and then leave without saying a word. He was about to close the door but he stopped and looked back at me, his eyes as intimidating as ever.

"Thanks.", with that he shut the door. I couldn't help but smile a little. Wait, did he thank me for the jacket or for fixing his wounds?

As soon as I reached my room, I decided to take a shower. Yesterday was a long day and all I wanted to do today was to lie to on my bed and not move an inch. My plans were quickly thrown out of the window as I heard a knock on my door. Can't a girl get some rest here?

I opened the door, and it revealed my one and only best friend, Hange Zoe. I was actually happy to see them despite being tired. "Y/N!! morning!!", they pulled me into a hug.

"Morning, Hanj", I said trying to balance myself. "You seem really excited. Don't tell me a titan finally decided to love you back?"

"Hahaha. Very funny. I am happy because Erwin allowed me to work on that research I mentioned to you the last time we talked. Your brother is the best!"

"So, something to do with titans. Knew it."

Hange laughed and I realised how much I loved hanging out with them. They was the kind of optimistic person one desperately needed in this hell. "Sooo what's up with you? I heard you had your first official medical stint yesterday. How was it?", she asked.

"Ugh, where do I start?"

Hange's eyed widened with excitement as I finished telling them about my eventful day.

"He is an interesting character, isn't he? You should have heard him introduce himself to all of us!", they exclaimed.

"It's Levi." Hange imitated him and I burst out laughing. Even though I had had very few interactions with him I could totally picture it. "Too bad he is not a titan, eh Hanj?"
