My whole body was warm, and I was sure my face was all red. I can't believe we kissed. My heart was beating fast and I felt extremely shy. I couldn't meet his gaze, so I continued to look away.

"I think you should get some sleep.", he finally said and I simply nodded my head.

I laid back down and saw him covering me with the blanket. He tucked me in and I finally looked at him. He looked calm.

"Good night.", I whispered. He leaned in and kissed my forehead. "I'll be right here.", he whispered back and turned off the lights. I smiled to myself and closed my eyes. That night I slept peacefully.

When I woke up the next day, I felt much better. Thinking about the previous night made me blush. I looked around but I couldn't see Levi anywhere. I slowly got out of the bed and walked towards the door.

"Levi?", I asked opening the door only to find Mike sitting on the bench, reading a newspaper.

"Mike? What are you doing here? Where's Levi?" I was confused. Mike looked up from his newspaper and immediately got up.

"Aah, Y/N, you're awake! Erwin sent me to get you back to HQ. He has sent Levi to Sina to investigate something that only he can, since he's uh familiar with the place.", Mike replied sounding a little awkward at the last part.

"Sina?", I asked and then it struck me. "Don't tell me, the underground!?"

"Y-Yeah", he replied sheepishly.

What the hell is Erwin thinking? Sending him back to that hell?

"If you're feeling alright, we can leave soon.", Mike said interrupting my thoughts.

"Yeah, I am alright now. I'll get changed and meet you outside in a few minutes."

Throughout the entire journey back, I kept thinking about Levi. The cheerful mood I had woken up in had been replaced with worry and irritation. I would have at least liked to see him once before he left.

Once we reached headquarters, I thanked Mike and hurried off to see Erwin.

I barged into his office startling him.

"Y/N!"

"Oh, sorry I forgot to knock.", I stuck my tongue out realizing what I had done.

"It's okay, come here.", he said smiling and embraced me in a hug. "How are you now?", he asked letting me go.

"I'm okay! I don't feel weak and my head doesn't hurt as much.", I assured him. He looked relieved.

"Why did you send Levi to the underground?", I blurted out and saw Erwin look a bit surprised. He was clearly not expecting the question.

"Ah, I wanted him to investigate something in regard to what happened at Karanes.", he replied.

"Oh...are you sure that was a good idea? It's like revisiting a trauma.", I pressed.

Erwin looked directly at me and without flinching said, "Levi is a professional. I'm sure he can handle it."

It always scared me a little when Erwin spoke in that tone. He sounded more like the Commander and less like my brother. I realized there was no point in arguing with him.
So, I nodded my head, trying to act calm.

"Okay then, I'm going to rest up for a bit. I'll see you later.", I said heading for the door.

"I'm really grateful to him for saving your life, Y/N.", Erwin guaranteed me, finally sounding like my older brother.
