Grumpyskele was glaring at you. After last night, Nightmare told you to stay far away from him. It didn't bother you any so you kept to yourself, drawing. Nightmare watched both of you from the shadows. You hummed quietly, a tune your daddy used to hum to you. Tick Tock. Then there was a buzzing sound. "What the-" Black started to bubble up from the floor. "Anomalies!" You scrambled to Nightmare, who started trying to dispatch the creatures. It wasn't working. "Why are these things so hard to-" A beam of blue light arched around, destroying them all in an instant. "-kill.." With a wave of his hand, Grumpyskele dismissed his blasters. "... Shoulda let them kill the kid. But you woulda killed me in return." You looked up at him. "Thank you.." He rolled his eyelights and walked away.

The rest of the day went well. Grumpy ignored you and you were left to your own devices. You decided you'd make him a thank you gift. You just didn't know what yet. Dinner came again and you sat next to Nightmare. Then the voices started. Quiet whispers that only you could here. They gave you a headache. "Are you alright?"
"The voices.." You tried to make them go away. "Make them stop.." The others shared a look. "What voices?" The voices turned to shrieks as if trying to speak over your babysitters. You covered your ears. "Make it stop! Make It Stop! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!" The others scrambled to find the source of your pain, leaving you alone. With them scrambling to find the Anons, you were open to attacks from the Anomalies. Blackness started to bubble up, the creatures reaching for you, only for them to be blasted away. Dust, though he didn't want to, picked you up and started running. "Why are these things so active now?" Annoying pests they were. He tried getting you to a location where you'd be safe and Nightmare wouldn't kick his ass. But the castle was swarmed. He'd have to go somewhere else. "Damn it!" He only had one. They'd have to find them later, if he hadn't killed the human already. He activated the teleporter and tossed it to the ground. He dropped through into thick, snowy woods.ΩΩΩ
A blizzard. Of course it had to be a blizzard. You had long since passed out, due to the screaming, and were freezing in Dust's arms. The skeleton didn't particularly care, but seeing as his boss wanted you alive and Dark was no push over either, he'd have to try. He set you down and took off his coat. 𝚆𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚊𝚛𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚍𝚘𝚒𝚗𝚐?! He ignored Papyrus as he head floated around him, wrapping the human up in his jacket and pulling up the hood. "This is stupid. I should leave it to die out here." He picked the thing up and teleported into Snowdin. The place was actually more dust than snow now. Dustin? Nah, didn't sound right. 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍, 𝚋𝚞𝚝 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚘𝚗'𝚝. 𝙴𝚟𝚎𝚛 𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚌𝚎 '𝙽𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚖𝚊𝚛𝚎' 𝚋𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚖𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞𝚛 𝚋𝚘𝚜𝚜. 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚜𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍 𝚋𝚎 𝚋𝚘𝚜𝚜, 𝚋𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛! "Nightmare would kill me before I released my first attack. I'm not fighting him. Not until I get more LV." 𝚃𝚑𝚊𝚗 𝚜𝚝𝚊𝚛𝚝 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝 𝚋𝚛𝚊𝚝! 𝚈𝚘𝚞 𝚌𝚊𝚗 𝚜𝚊𝚢 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚊𝚗𝚘𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚒𝚎𝚜 𝚐𝚘𝚝 𝚑𝚎𝚛 𝚠𝚑𝚒𝚕𝚎 𝚢𝚘𝚞 𝚠𝚎𝚛𝚎 𝚝𝚛𝚢𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚝𝚘 𝚏𝚎𝚗𝚍 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝚘𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚜 𝚘𝚏𝚏! "Heh. Heheheh.. You're right bro. Just leave her to die here and we won't be in trouble.. I'm going to Grillby's." With that the skeleton abruptly dropped you in the dust and snow, walking away.

Cold. It was cold. You were becoming increasingly aware of this and allowed it to settle in and numb you. The Void was cold. You were used to this. It couldn't kill you. "The voices are gone.." You noted. You felt something on your shoulders. Dust had forgotten his jacket on you. "This.. Grumpyskele's..?" He'd helped you again! Now you were going to have to make his gift extra special! You dusted the powders off of you and started walking. It was a nice and cozy little town, devoid of life. It didn't bother you though. Many places were like this. Well many places you lived, which admittedly wasn't a lot. You'd only been in the Void, uncles Anti-Void, and the castle. The castle had the most people you'd ever seen. Dust was one of them. So you set out to find him. You wondered where you were. "Grumpy! Where are you Grumpy!" You called. No response. You hummed in thought. Where could he be?
ΩΩΩ
Dust sat at the barstool, Downing his fifth ketchup. He hadn't been here in a long time. It was.. Nice. Not as nice as the satisfaction of leaving that brat though. He chuckled. He stopped. "Grumpy! Where are you Grumpy!" His smile disappeared. "What." Everything went silent. "Maybe I had one to many.." The skeleton got up and left the bar, deciding to take a nice walk outside. He went up to the steps of his old home and- "Found you!"
"HOLY SHIT!" He lashed out and you fell back, landing heavily in the snow. "Ow. That kinda hurt, Grumpy." You wheezed. His sockets widened, going dark. "No way.." His shock was quickly replaced with anger. "Why can't you just fucking die!" He shot attacks at you. You cried out. Your magic reacted. The attacks slowed and you could scrambled out of the way. It seemed that you were going to have to survive for yourself until Grumpy was less grumpy. You sighed. This was going to be hard.
