You dutifully scrubbed at the blackened tiles while the others slept. After opening their gifts, which they loved you could tell, they'd all eaten then spent the rest of the night watching Christmas movies. Nighty had cringed at every single one except The Christmas Carol. His favorite character was the Ghost of Christmas Future. Kills enjoyed all the movies. They reminded him of times long gone. Dusty too, but it brought on more.. you weren't even sure. Glitches, surprisingly enjoyed them as well, asking questions every once in awhile. Horror grew bored and started stuffing his face again. You'd fallen asleep halfway through the first movie, which is why you were the first up. The microwave and counters were going to have to be replaced... everything was going to have to be replaced. You weren't entirely sure how you were supposed to do that.. You hummed thoughtfully. "morning kiddo." You looked over, smiling. "Morning Dusty! How do I replace everything?" He looked at you predicament. "... nightmare will do it. just keep scrubbing." You perked. "Ok!" You noticed something poke out from his pocket. The card.. since you'd already given Dusty and Phan their gifts you made them a card to show how much you loved and appreciated them both.

Dust POV

I watched [Y/N] for a little bit longer before going to my room. That kid.. she was something else. She definitely had skills when it came to.. however she'd hand-crafted everyone's gifts. She was determined, with the added bonus of no murdering everyone. She is exactly what the he and the guys needed. Ever since they'd been put on babysitting duty, they've been going on less missions. Error still went out to destroy aus, he still had to keep the balance, but things just seemed all around better. Speaking of.. I pulled the card out of my pocket and read through it once more. "Happy holidays Dust and Phantom! Man it feels weird not calling you by your nicknames, but that's besides the point! You guys are the bestest friends I've ever had and I love everything that you've done for me! I love you guys so much and I wish nothing but the best for you Dusty and Phan! Merry early Christmas and have a happy new year!

Love, [Y/N]" I smiled at her heartfelt words. My soul swelled. The feeling was familiar, like whenever Pap had gotten me something, or hugged me. I guess I could say I loved her too. She.. she's like a sister to me. A little sister that I never wanted, but ended up loving anyway. I'll be damned if anyone harms [Y/N]. I'd already made my mistakes with Papyrus. Then I heard a crash down the hall, towards the kitchen. "[Y/N]!"

Back to you

You were almost done when the voices started. "Anons.." You looked around. The faceless beings were around this mansion somewhere. They were loud, yelling over each other. Trying to make you go mad and run at them to make them stop. Of course it wasn't just them. The anomalies were bubbling up too, stalking towards you. You shadow traveled just in time as one lunged at you. You ended up in the living room and heard a crash, telling you that the anomaly slammed into the counters. It startled everyone awake. "They're here." You stated as you eyed the living room entrance. You felt your soul swell, seeing Nightmare in his cape and Error in his new shirt. Killer summoned his knife, complete with a new handle, and Horror his ax, also with his new handle. If only you had time to actually appreciate how good they looked with their new gifts on. Unfortunately you didn't as the anomalies burst through. Your whips lashed out, causing the anomalies caught to scream and disintegrate at their touch. The others looked to the now destroyed creatures, to the whips, then to you. You smirked. "I feel like this is still one-sided."
"The fuck happened in Dusttale?!" Killer muttered. You shrugged and summoned a shadow blaster. "Training." You fired and killed the swarm that was coming at you.

Eventually the boys jumped in to help, after a bit more questioning. When Dusty had come in, he'd seemed very relieved to see you unscathed, and proud to see you fighting your own battle. Of course, he'd come to help too. At some point you'd all separated to hunt down stragglers since you could apparently now hold your own. After, you met up in the living room again. "Great job kid, your stance was firm, and your attacks powerful, but you still keep forgetting to watch your back. That's a dangerous thing, if these things were smarter, you'd probably be dead." You frowned. "I'm working on it."
"Perhaps we should start training again. Maybe you can get the hang of soul magic?" You beamed. "Yes please! Soul magic training!" You jumped at Dusty, who caught you in a hug. "I won't go easy on you."
"I know!"
"Figured."
