Somewhere in [CONFIDENT]:
"W-will you f-fi-fight me?"
Sparkles could be seen in the crazy blue eyes of the fourteen-year-old boy. A huge but slightly nervous grin had spread across his face, beaming brightly with motivation while he had tried yet again with all his might to persuade the fleeing girl in front of him to a spare. He had stalked behind her with fast steps, giggling in amusement whereas the poor girl was seemingly struggling to shake his overwhelming presence off.
"Fight me!", he had shouted once more, this time with more self-confidence, "Come on, Nana! Fight me, p-please! Pr-pretty please?"
But the teenager received no answer from the few months' younger girl. She kept silent, her mouth shut as if it had been glued together and quickly hid behind the third person in the cave.
"Aww, no fair. Hiding behind master Skirk counts as cheating."
The oldest woman stood blankly in the middle of the duo, her arms crossed and one eyebrow raised, while she had watched the scene around her unfold with irritation but also entertainment in her eyes. Glancing from the shy lass behind her, who had covered her flustered face once again with the hood of her large wine-red cloak, over to the hopping lad, his pink cheeks visibly glowing in the dark cave, all she could do was shake her head. A deep sigh had escaped her lips, before she had proceeded to hold the hyperactive youngster back by his head, easily stopping him from running any further and closer to the maiden.
"Ajax, stop annoying her.", she spoke bluntly to him, not bothering how he was struggling under her grip, "That's what? The sixth time you are asking her to a spare since this morning? Just let her be. One day, she will accept your offer."
"But I don't want to wait.", he whined back, his arms dangling down while he stood like a dead tree against her hand, "Didn't you say that she has a really unique fighting skill? And that she was surprisingly strong? You said it yourself! I just want to witness it with my own eyes."
The boy pouted. Insecure and reluctant just like him, barely speaking, but still more knowledgeable in combat than he currently was. There was something intriguing about the shy girl he had learned to like quite a lot. The very introverted girl he had met along with the swordswoman at the beginning of this unpredicted escapade.
Almost two weeks have passed since his arrival. Twelve days since he had fled the boring life in his hometown and had fallen into a bottomless creak in the woods and had been found by master Skirk. Still a rather short time, given the fact he had yet to see the real side of this ancient world, he never knew had always existed. Though one might not be so sure if him accepting the proposal of the swordswoman he had stumbled upon had been a good idea. Learning a completely new fighting technique, which will soon be feared by his enemies he had yet to cross paths with, wandering along through this strange land. Has it been the right decision?
