Mr Soot signalled for me and Mr Greensdale, also known as Clay, to take a seat at a nearby desk.
Without question, I immediately complete the task I was given. I sit in a small chair, fiddling with my hands out of pure anxiety.
Mr Greensdale takes a seat next to me and our fingers accidentally touch as he is tucking in his chair. The blond looks at me and smiles, cheerfully and I can feel a slight bit of blush appear across my pale cheeks.
Mr Soot looked at the two of us, making sure we were paying attention, before he began talking.
"Mr Davidson, since you're our schools best and favourite English teacher, and Mr Greensdale you're our schools best History teacher, I've decided you two will do a conjoined lesson." He explained, making hand gestures while he spoke.Me and Clay exchanged glances before we looked back at Mr Soot.
"I know. It's something this school hasn't done before, but I'd love to try it and see how it goes." He goes on and I currently get more and more unsure. Although, I look at Clay and he seems to be agreeing with everything Mr Soot is saying."If you're both up to it. I'd like you to make time to meet up somewhere and plan the lesson. I'd like it to be atleast 2hours long." He finishes his speech and then looks at me and Clay, trying to read our faces.
"Well I think it's a great idea." Clay says, smirking at me.
I suddenly get nervous, I can feel my face heat up. Why is this happening?I nod in agreement and twirl my fingers with the corner of my shirt.
"Marvellous! I'll let you two organise the meet-ups yourselves." Mr Soot waves at us as he exits the classroom.
Me and Clay return glances, but non of us say anything. He stands up and the looks around my classroom.
"Nice room." He says.
"Thanks.." I reply,
"So uhh.. for the lesson.. My house?" He suggests and I nod my head slowly.
"Great. At 5? Today?" He asks, his eyes catch mine.
"Yeah. Sure." I agree, the eye contact getting more intense by the second.
"Just text me when you're nearly ready to come and I'll text you the address." Clay speaks, his voice laced with confidence. I nod in agreement, but no words leave my lips.He looks at me and smiles. I return the smile and stand up from my chair. The blonde male is still towering over me, it's intimating if I'm being honest.
"Alright, well. I'm gonna get ready for my next class. I'll see you later though? At my house, I mean." Clay smirks at me.
"Yeah. See you later." I reply, trying to act cool.Clay smiles and me one more time before leaving my classroom. A deep breath, which I didn't know I was holding, escapes my lips as I feel my face heat up.
What is going on with me?
I brush it off and begin cleaning my classroom up a bit before my next class.
