Today was just normal training, pair up and train. Petra and Gunther grouped up. Eld and Eren and finally, Jason and Oluo. Jason is a very competitive person and Oluo is too. They will go all out when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. So here they are getting ready to fight while trash-talking each other. The other members noticed Jason and Oluo talking smack to each other and hid chuckles and smirks. They knew about the chemistry between those two. Levi just watched his squadmates practice. There's one thing that the others know too. Oluo has yet to win against Jason. Yes. Oluo has never won against Jason. The two get into a fighting position, waiting for the Captain's order to continue. Levi scoffed softly and gave him a wave, signaling Jason and Oluo that they could start. Jason was definitely one of the stronger cadets in the squad and could hold his own. Jason taunts Oluo who throws the first punch but it's easily blocked. Jason used it to his advantage and made his move in which Oluo end up on the ground and bit his tongue. (He did the move Annie did). The other members had to keep their laughs in when Jason completely owned Oluo and he bit his tongue. Levi just scoffed; this was everyday shit for him. Oluo got back up and brushed it off as letting Jason win. He swore that this time he won't go easy on him. Jason just laughed. He knew Oluo would lose. After all, Jason was humanity's third strongest soldier. They got into position again. This time, Jason threw the first punch. The other duos continued to train while occasionally stealing glances at Jason and Oluo, curious to see how this fight would turn out. Oluo ended up on the ground for a second time, Jason currently pinning him down by straddling him. Oluo felt his cheeks heat up and told Jason to get off him. Although the two had a strong bond. They couldn't admit their feelings to each other. The other groups noticed the position of the two and softly snickered behind their hands. 'They're so clueless.' They thought to themselves. Levi, on the other hand, scoffed. "Alright brats, get off. Is not the time to be on top of each other." He deadpanned. "Especially with the new brat here." He whispered, indicating that he was talking about Eren. Said cadet blushed lightly at being called out. Jason got off of Oluo and helped him up. Jason thought no one noticed his injuries from Oluo. "He's gotten stronger." He thought. Everyone didn't notice Jason's injuries because they got back to training after Levi's words. However, Levi noticed something wrong. But Levi spoke up. "Jason?" He called. "Hmm?" Jason acknowledges Levi. "What is it, Levi?" Jason walked towards Levi. "Are you okay? You look like you might have injuries." He acknowledged. "Oh...I'm fine. Really! Don't worry about me kid. Ok?!" Jason smiled at Levi and hoped he didn't see through it. The captain wasn't falling for it. He stepped closer and placed his small but "manly" hands on Jason's cheeks. "Let me check. If they're minor, you can keep training." He said. Everyone's eyes widen at Levi's tenderness. They were surprised how caring Levi was to touch Humanity's Third Strongest Solider in such an intimate way. The squad held their breath in anticipation while one hid his jealousy. Jason noticed the slight worry in Levi's eyes. He let out a sigh. "Fine." He decided. Levi sighed softly. "May I check?" He asked. Jason nodded. "Yeah." He realized the squad would know about his scars from his father and past suicide attempts. Sure, he was nervous. He hid these scars for so long. Levi gently checked his body for any cuts or broken bones. Luckily there was none. Everyone was agape at the scene. Someone checking Jason for injuries was pretty much unheard of. Levi continued to check until his fingers caressed what felt like a scar on Jason's wrist. He gasped softly and looked at Jason sadly. "Is this recent?" He whispered so no one else could hear. "Yeah, if a few years is considered recent." Jason noticed the others staring at his wrist. "Levi?" Jason asked worried about the Captain's reaction. Levi had gotten closer to Jason and saw the wrist scars. 'Are those.... self-inflicted wounds?' He thought to himself. He felt his heart stop beating momentarily. He looked up at Jason, his eyes showing hurt and confusion. Everyone had walked up to Jason at this point, curious to know what was going on. "Levi, I know what you're thinking. Yeah. Those scars are self-inflicted." Jason had a hint of guilt in his voice. He noticed everyone around him. He couldn't help but be ashamed. Levi stepped closer to Jason and Sal, who was still hugging Jason. "Listen Berry head, just because you have harmed yourself in the past doesn't mean I'll look down on you. If anything, I think you're stronger." He said softly. Eren nodded "Yeah. You're still awesome Jason. Please don't be ashamed." He said sweetly. Everyone else tried and failed to hold back tears at the touching scene, hell even Oluo felt tears in his eyes. Oluo hugged Jason. "There's something else I should tell you guys." Jason lifts his shirt revealing his abuse scars. Everyone either gasped and covered their mouths in surprise. On Jason's chest were old abuse scars that were definitely not too recent. Levi and Oluo had to make sure their anger didn't get the better of them. Petra teared up, Gunther and Eld covered their mouths in shock, Eren covered his mouth and tried not too angry. "Based on your reactions you know exactly what these are. I'm sorry I've never said anything about this. It's..." Jason choked up on his words. He knows he's about to cry. Levi sensed Jason's emotions and ran over to him and wrapped his arms around Jason tightly. "It's okay Jason. We understand why you didn't show us. Please don't be ashamed." He said. Everyone else nodded their heads in agreement while Petra started to tear up as well. Eren also felt tears well up in his eyes. "My father, he did this and I'm perfectly fine watching that son of a bitch get fed to a titan. I want to watch him die a painful death for all the pain and suffering he caused me." Jason had a fire in his eyes nobody has seen before. Everyone looked creeped the hell out for a couple of moments until they all nodded in agreement. "Ah...Sorry! Don't know what got into me." And just like Jason was back to normal. "Hey, Levi? I'm good to go right?"Everyone, except for Levi, held in chuckles as Jason's complete 180. The captain nodded. "Yep. You're good. But if you ever want to talk, you can come talk to me." He said. Jason looked at Oluo. Even though he was laughing he still had tears in his eyes. Jason walked up to him and hugged him. Everyone else cooed at the sight. "Oluo, it's ok. Don't cry" Jason cupped Oluo cheeks, drying his tears. Oluo's face became red. Oluo didn't know how to react to this, so he wrapped his arms around Jason's waist and hugged him tightly. "I'm sorry Jason. I can't believe you had to go through that." Oluo pulled away from the hug. Jason smiled "it ok because I met all of you."Everyone 'awwed and did a group hug. Except for Levi. He just watched his squadmates hug. Jason looked at Levi. "Come on Levi. Get in here!" Levi scoffed. Eren went over to Levi and grabbed his wrist and forced him into the group hug. Levi just let the boy take him into the group hug. Jason smiled and hugged Oluo and Levi. Oluo would never admit it but seeing Jason smile struck something within him.
