Music blasted from my speaker as I concentrated on the tattoo I was doing. It had been a few days since I saw Ace, though I'd never admit it out loud, I missed her aggy ass.

With a sigh I removed the needle from my client's arm and wiped it down with an alcohol wipe. The man smirked down at his tattoo and handed me the amount of money it costed. I sent a small smile and he thanked me before leaving.

I cleaned up behind myself and began packing my things up since he was my last client of the day. I threw my bag over my shoulder and walked to the front of the parlor.

"I'm gone. Lock up for me." I spoke to one of my employees. Everyone said their byes and I left, walking out to my car. I quickly climbed in and drove home. Cj was with Lauren for the weekend so I was kid free.

About 5 minutes passed and I was pulling into my driveway, but I noticed another unfamiliar car causing me to furrow my eyebrows. Did Clare get a new car or sum?

I climbed out my car and grabbed my bag from the passenger seat, making my way to my front door.

I rolled my eyes when I saw Ace standing on my porch on her phone.

"So you popping up at my house now?" I raised an eyebrow, catching her attention.

She looked up at me and smirked.

"Girl, don't act like you ain't happy to see me." I am, but I'm not telling you that- wait what am I thinking? Get it together Ki.

"Um, I'm not acting.. why you here?" I asked.

"I really like this yellow on you, ma. You look good." she bit her lip, eyeing me up and down. Completely ignored my question, but okay.

"Thanks.. but you ain't answer my question." I shifted my weight and folded my arms.

"Damn, I can't just come see you?" she playfully held her chest as if she was hurt.

"I mean.. it has been a week." I blankly stared at her.

"I been busy, but if I ain't know any better.. I'd think you missed me." she smirked, stepping closer to me.

"Back up, first of all," I said, taking a step back.

"Secondly, you clearly don't know any better because that last person I'd miss is you." I shrugged.
