Fairy Tails

Chapter 6

After wandering around with Ryan, exploring and chatting as we went, We came across Callie talking with a tall guy fairy with red hair. We both walked up to Callie and she turned around and grinned from ear to ear.

"Hey Stel. I want you to meet Mason. This is my dad."

"Hi, Stella. I've heard so much about you. Great to finally meet you. Wish I could have met you earlier but rules are rules." Mason says with a welcoming smile.

My eyes widened as I looked from her to Mason, and back to Callie. "Really?!? Wow. I'm glad to finally meet you." I addressed to Mason. I then turned back to Cali," You told me he left. As in 'moved to Nebraska' left.

"Sorry Stella. Had to keep everything under wraps. Remember? That included family life too." She smiled apologetically.

"Right. Secrecy. Anything else I need to know?"

"Well since my dad is a fairy, that makes my mom a mermaid. And Ryan is my cousin." Calista says while nodding towards Ryan. I then remember that Ryan is standing right next to me. "Yup best cousins for life." Ryan says with the widest grin.

"Wow. That's a lot to deal with for one day. I think I need to head home. Are you heading home too Callie? Or will you stay here with your dad and cuz?" I say to Calista.

"That is an easy answer. I want my own bed at home. These beds here are the worst. They are moss and rocks and dirt. Thanks but I'll pass." Calista laughs while talking,"See you guys later."

"Bye Calista." Both of them say.

Calista and I are at the edge of the beach, where we were this morning, to see our sandcastle being played with by little kids. We turn to each other and grin because the little kids were playing with little dolls that looked like fairies.

We continued our walk home and by the time we got to my house Callie had switched from talking about our adventures to Callie teasing me about my crush. The only way I shut her up was when we got home and I asked if she could sleep over, we have so many that she just leaves clothes and toothbrush at my house, and I do the same at hers.

"Rock, paper, scissors?" Callie says with a devilish grin.

"Deal."

"Rock! Paper! Scissors! Shoot!" We say simultaneously.

Its my turn for a devilish grin because I pulled the cheating hand gesture. I stole it from one of our favorite book series "Percy Jackson" and I put my thumb up and first two fingers out to form a gun gesture. Callie sighs with a grin as she puts away her scissors.

"I hate that trick." Callie jokes with me.

"Only when you aren't the one to pull it."

"Accurate."

"My place. You got everything you need correct? Already have your phone?"

"Duh. Do I go anywhere without it?"

"I guess not. Lets go."

"Allons-y." I say smiling as I make a reference to the best doctor on Doctor Who.
