Chapter 33

sam pov

"sam...i think i'm...i think i'm pregnant..."

those words echoed in my mind.

i stared blankly.

"sam? are you okay?"

"what? oh, yeah. yeah i'm fine. um...congratulations." i said and smiled.

"are you sure?"

i smiled genuinly, "yeah. i'm happy for you mom. that-that's amazing. really, it is."

she smiled nervously, "i don't know for sure yet and i didn't want to take a test unless you were with me."

i smiled, "thanks. i'm happy you wanted to do it with me."

she took my hand, "of course baby. now get some sleep, you have been through a lot. i love you."

"you too."

she kissed my forehead and shut the lights off and walked out.

i turned around in my bed and grunted in pain and held my stomach.

"sam? are you awake?" i heard a gentle voice say.

i turned around and saw selena standing in the doorway.

"oh. hey." i said and smiled.

"i'm sorry to barge in i just...couldn't sleep."

i smiled, "no, no don't worry about it. of course." i said.

"can i...stay here tonight?" she asked quietly.

"you know you don't have to ask me that." i said and smiled softly.

i slid over and pulled the covers back.

she slid in and put her head on my chest and hugged me, "i missed you." she whispered.

i rubbed my hand up and down her arm, "i know baby. i missed you too."

"it wasn't the same without you. i didn't feel safe."

i kissed her temple, "i would risk my life to protect you."

she chuckled, "you did."

i chuckled too, "i know i did. and i would do it again. if it meant keeping you safe." i said.

"i know you would." she said and snuggled into my chest.

i smiled and held her in my embrace and fell asleep.

"aww. they're so cute!" a voice said.

"i knew they'd get back together." mom's voice said.

i opened my eyes to see aunt demi and mom in my doorway, "oh hey sweetie!" mom said and smiled.

i looked down at selena who was wrapped up around my body.

i smiled and brushed her hair behind her ear and kissed her cheek, "princess. we have to wake up." i said into her ear.

she groaned and nuzzled her face more into my neck, "noooo. 5 more minutes." she groaned.

i smiled and chuckled, "babe. we have company."

she lifted her head up and looked at mom and demi, "ugghhh. leavveee." she groaned.

they laughed, "well hello sunshine." mom said.

"why do you guys have to ruin our morning?" i said.

"because you two have an interview in an hour with ellen. now up and adam." mom said and pulled the covers off of us, showing selena's legs tangled in mine.
