21. NEWS BOMB

I woke up with the loud music fatedly playing around me. I rubbed my face with my palm and look around the unfamiliar room with vanilla and the lemon scent hits me with the memories of yesterday flashes in my mind. From getting it on to one and other to me admitting that I love her and she saying it back. It was... I don't know how else to say it so I use the muggle term to describe our night. It was magical. I got off the bed and walk towards the music that led to the kitchen. I walk into the kitchen to see Arya dancing while making some breakfast while singing the lyrics.

"Morning" my voice causes her to tremble in surprise almost dropping the bacon from the pan. "You feared me," she said with a playful glare but then turn into one of her cute smiles. I hugged her from behind and buried my head into her hair. Both of us didn't know whether to talk about yesterday or not but instead we just enjoying the music and the hug. "Do you mean it?" Arya turned around and ask me. Her soft voice filled with doubt and worry. her face was My eyebrows frown at her question. She studied my reaction and tried to explain it. "Do you mean it last night? When you said you love me?" She asked again looking everywhere but me.

"Arya, look at me," I said with a stern voice and cupped her cheeks to look at me. "Whatever I said last night was true and I mean every single thing. I started to have fillings for you the moment I laid eyes on you in my shop. You've been nothing but understanding to me ever since we hang out. You're making me feel better more than anyone has done for the past year. I don't want to let that go. I want you for my whole life. Fred would have smacked my head if I didn't tell you sooner". I joked which earn a laugh from her. I laugh along with her a little till she relaxed with a grin.

"I love you, Arya," I said genuinely while tracing her cheeks. "I love you too Georgie". She held her arms around my shoulder and pulled me for a gentle kiss. Arya pulled away and padded my cheeks "Alright big guy. The food is getting cold so eat up then we have dinner with your parents." She cooed and back to the kitchen. After breakfast and helping her clean up, I went back to my apartment to do some work before dinner.

It's around 6:30 when we arrived at the burrow with Arya beside me. I did tell her about I might be introducing her as my girlfriend and she agreed. Everybody was either playing games and talking. Ron and Harry were playing chess. Percy was talking to Bill and Charlie while Fleur and Audrey, Percy's wife were chit chatting something. Just as the timing is right Hermione and Ginny rushed to Arya and gave her a big hug. "I knew you will come," Hermione said excitingly. Everyone stopped talking and look at us. Ron and Harry were the first ones to greet us followed by the rest.

"Ron, I heard you don't like fruit cake so I brought for you some chocolate cake instead," Arya said and hand the cakes to Ron. "Thank you, Arya. You're the best" Ron said happily and went to the kitchen to keep the kitchen. Arya and I look at each other while the others were busy minding their own business. Not long after Andromeda Tonks came with baby Teddy.

"Hi, Mrs Tonks. How are you?" I greeted her kindly. She smiled and hand Teddy to Harry. "I'm fine George. How many times I've told you to call me Addie and who is this lovely girl? She looks so familiar." Addie approached Arya with a kind smile and went for a hug. "I'm Arya Nair. You must be Andromeda. My mother and Aunt sure talk about you and your sisters a lot" Mrs Tonks smile faded as Arya mentioned her mother's name. "Is your mother a pureblood dear?" She asked. What is happening? I know her family already but what are they talking about. "Well, my mother's name is Sandra Ajanta. My aunt is Vidya Ajanta" She explained. Addie on the other hand pulled her for another hug and pulled away with a smile. "Now I remember you. Your mum and aunt were my friends with my sister but then they joined the order." Addie said. After a few conversations, she left us alone to talk to mum. "I need to talk to you"

Once everyone was out of earshot, I pulled Arya out to the garden to talk alone with her. "Ok. Your mother is a pureblood?" I asked her. "Yeah, and why are you shocked." She replied and cross her hands together. "Well, I know your mum was friends with the Black sisters but I didn't expect your mum to be pure blood". I scratch the back of my neck. "Well, here's the thing. You already know that my dad is a muggle-born. But what you didn't know is that my mum's side of the Ajanthas is one of the richest pure blood back in Asia. So, when my grandparents immigrated here to join the ministry here, my mum and my aunt started to attend Hogwarts and surprise, they are in Slytherin. Long story short my grandparents died with dragon-pox, my mum married my dad, my aunt didn't marry anyone because death eaters killed her lover and you know the rest." She explained and finally let out a breath.

I was processing what she was saying. "Any questions?" She asked. I shake my head in no and hugged her waist down. "It just you meet my parents and I think it's fair that I meet your mum. Since We're dating and everything". I ensure her. "I understand but I just need a little more time. Mum is still not in a good state," she said but before I can protest or say anything Ron called us from inside. "Mum is calling us to set the table"

We have prepared the table and everyone started to sit down and have some diner. We were eating silently with talks about ministry and such. Once we're done, we went to the living room when Ginny got up from her sofa and tapped her glass to gain everyone's attention. "I have good news. You are looking at the new Holly Head Harpies' Chaser." Everyone started to cheer with happiness and went and hug Ginny. Bill got up and announced something as well. "Well, we have good news too. We're gonna have a baby" Bill said. Mum was thrilled as she started having tears of happiness. Just when things were about to slow down another terrific news was announced and this time it was Charlie "I applied for care for the magical creature at Hogwarts. "Both mum and dad were sitting down and processing what is happening. "Anything else from anyone?" My mum asks as she tried to relax.

"Well, is it too late to say that Harry and I already have permanent jobs at the Auror Department and Hermione has a job in the ministry," Ron said shyly. The whole room is filled with happiness. Everyone was happy for each other. I gave Ginny a warning look knowing what she had in mind but she ignores that and spoke. "George has two good news. Tell them George" Ginny smirk. That little... "What is it George," My mum asked. I took a deep breath closed my eyes.

"I bought Zoko's," I said. I explain to them how I meet Zoko and how long I've wanted to do this. Once I was done, everyone was happy for me and congratulating me. "And 2nd news is. I want you to meet someone" I said. I turn to Arya with a smile and held my hand towards her. She gladly accepts and stood by my right side. "This is my girlfriend Arya." I introduce her to them.

Everyone was speechless while ginny on the other hand was waiting for anyone's reaction. "I knew it. I knew you guys were something when I called you just now" Ron said while padding my back. Mum came and gave a big hug to both of us and everyone was happy for us. It was a huge happy news bomb for everyone.

Anyways I was trying to make this chapter like one of those friends episode where Monica and Ross will give a lot of information to the parents but instead of sad news, they are happy ones but I can say it didn't work but who cares I'll just write it.
