"What is Prom?", asked Rohan's grandma after knowing that he will be back home late at night.

Rohan's mom shook her head at Rohan, standing behind his grandma, signalling him to give less details.

"Farewell party, amma. It's a farewell function for the passing out batch.", Rohan said.

"Oh. I see. Good. I hope you enjoy it.", she said, massaging her temples.

"Go and take a rest. I will call dad and let him know we reached home.", Rohan's mom said and pulled her up from the couch.

In the evening, Rohan came down dressed in his new black suit looking extra tall. He had his hair done very neatly. His mom got back from work a bit earlier and was waiting for him in the sitting room. His grandma, who was seated on the couch comfortably, stood up in appreciation and said,

"Oh my...he looks so handsome!"

"Thanks, amma.", Rohan said, a bit shy.

"And you still don't have a girlfriend?", she asked, coming near him, to observe him more precisely.

"Umm...eh...no. I don't.", Rohan said and tried to laugh.

"Stop saying that, ma.", Rohan's mom protested.

"Why? Chris and Elena said he is a good student and very popular in school. On top of that he looks good. Didn't anyone propose him even?", she asked innocently.

"Yes. A boy did. He said he loves your grandson. Want to know anything else?", Rohan tried hard not to smile, "We are getting late. Let's go, Ro.", Rohan's mom said and pulled him outside with her, in a hurry.

Rohan's grandma sat there stupefied when Lily, who came back with Rohan's mom came near her and asked,

"Should I make a cup of tea for you?"

"You stay here, mamma. I will go make it.", Elena said and walked to the kitchen.

"Why the hell is she angry?", Rohan's grandma asked.

"Work load, auntie, she has been busy.", said Lily.

The tension in Mike's home was at the peak when his dad was informed that Rohan and his mom will visit them soon. Mike's mom was in a happy mood but stayed silent because her husband was not in a good mood. Mike was almost ready, in his room, he stood in front of the mirror and stared at himself. His father's dark olive green suit. It fitted him well. All these days of going to gym helped a lot. He still wasn't slim but the tight fitting suit made him look less chubby. He decided to leave his curly hairs as they are. He went out to go downstairs.

"It's an once in a lifetime thing. Mike shouldn't leave the house grumpy.", Mike heard her mom saying this to his dad, while getting down the stairs.

"What am I supposed to do? You guys are doing things on your accord. Do I even matter now?", said his dad.

"Yo do, dad.", Mike said while coming into the sitting room, and continued, "Your opinions matter. Not that it will change anything but the fact that you are avoiding me like that will."

He stood there with a straight face. His dad saw him in the old suit, ready for the night, and then looked at his mom. She continued her work without looking up. Mike's dad said after a while,
