albedo x female reader coffee shop / college modern au :)
y/n is a girl whos mother married a certain gingers father. the story starts off in a coffee shop on the 23rd of december (my birthday btw!! <3).
"hey y/n you have a new customer" venti the manager exclaimed. you yawned and got up.
"alright alright, just let me sleep for 5 more minutes" you leaned back on to the counter and yawned again.
after, you heard a voice. "hey girlie can i have a venti sized pink drink".
"can you repeat that please i didnt hear you, dont forget to give me your name. in fact, just write everything down here and i'll prepare your order." and there you went back into your deep slumber.
he chuckled and patted your head "alright y/n here you go". you looked up and saw an childe, your brother, in a t-shirt and some jeans. the person behind him was albedo. your boyfriend.
the orange head interrupted your staring session. "are you going to start orr??".
you blinked and then quickly responded "oh yes sorry brother." he smiled at you "you can just sit over there". childe was your brother. but not fully. your mother had married his father. your mother was already rich when your dad died. however to get over your dad she met childes dad and they started dating. after that they got married and then childe became your step-brother. he was a pretty cool brother however even though you have already moved out (due to family issues), he is still very overprotective. meaning he doesnt like albedo.
"venti can you manage this order, albedo is here." you wanted to go see him since he works as a scientist who is working on the purpose of life and rarely has time to see you.
"hmmm, i suppose. since you are quite tired id suggest you take a small break and rest y/n. its good for you." he giggled "plus, you know diluc, he would never let you leave early! so its best you go now!"
he giggled while you just stared at him. after that, you simply just smiled and mumbled a small "thank you" before running off to your belongings and after to albedo.
"ALBEDOOOO!!!" you ran and hugged the surprised boy.
"oh, hello y/n, how has your day been today? do you have a coat it's quite cold today?".
"good thank you! and also i dont know do i? i was thinking maybe we could share one coat, hehe!" you were having so much fun until you felt a glare from a certain ginger.
"oh-ho, hello sister. who's this??" he was smiling but his glare was very evident.
"oh this is albedo my boyfriend! albedo this is childe! guys?? say hello to each other. did i do anything wro-"
"hello."
"leave my younger sister alone."
"g-guys please can we not fight right here. childe i have a boyfriend and i understand if you are upset. but you cant control me forever. i moved out for a reason. thank you. me and albedo will get going right now."
—time skip—
as you were being carried on his back you tugged on his shirt and mumbled out, "albedoooo can we go to the winter market its so pretty!!"
"of course darling. however its best we go to your house and get you a warm change of clothes."
"hmph fine, also how has klee been since the last time me and her met. when you know. me and her were at jeans house and she blew up jeans home with her kiddy experiment set hehe."
he reassured you, "y/n i have told you, everything is fine jean lives in a new home." he started chuckling. "y/n, you are so silly"
while still on his back you pulled at his cheek. "hm? so should i be more silly to see you laugh again?"
"hm. i suppose, oh yes y/n we have arrived."
you hopped off of his back and opened your door to your apartment (which was on the 10th floor). "okay! now let me just turn on the heater. feel free to make yourself a coffee. hehe! ill go get changed."
you wore a hoodie with normal baggy jeans and some sneakers after that you tied your hair into a ponytail with the front strands out (kinda like jean). "albedo lets get going, hm are you staring at my christmas tree?"
"oh, yes i am it is quite interesting and i would like to draw you standing with it. if you dont mind of course."
"hmm sure, i dont see why not! but first can we get going!! i wanna get some hot cocoa."
"mhm, lets go."

"y/n try not to get lost."
"yep! ill call you if i am lost" and off you went running from each stall to the other.
(short a/n; idk how it is like for some people but from where i'm from in winter the stalls are v pretty let me get a picture)

"hello miss, what can i get for you today!" the employee at the hot cocoa stand exclaimed in festive spirit. she had brunette hair and had a bunny sticker on her name tag. the words on it spelled out 'amber'.
'with or without marshmallows?'
"hm, can i get a normal hot cocoa without marshmallows please!"
"alrighty please go stand there!"
as you started walking suddenly you felt a pair of two hands on your shoulders, "aH, oh hello albedo!"
"hello darling, what did you get? may i try it. for experimental purposes of course!"
you simply nodded and mumbled out a "mhm" before handing the drink to him. "albedo, im tired can we go home please!"
"yes lets go, however i got a text message from jean that i had to pick klee up so lets go pick her up first."
