Hope's POV.Faiths been out for awhile, her heartbeat keeping its same pace and literally no change. Its been ten hours its 5 am I haven't gotten a wink of sleep, I'm scared that if I go to sleep something will happen to Faith and I just can't risk it. I grab her hand with a sigh, I'm constantly worrying about her it can get exhausting. And when did I become the responsible one? It's like sense mom and dad died Faith has been so careless with what she does putting herself in danger constantly and I always end up sitting at her bedside holding her hand, her and I are going to talk about that when she wakes up.
As I was deep in my thoughts a laud exhale brings me back to my unfortunate reality, I look down to see Faith taking seemingly longer and deeper breaths then before. I put my hand on her shoulder trying to calm her, when my hand landed on her shoulder she shot up sitting up gasping for air, that's becoming more and more normal for her. She put one of her hands on my hand then the other on her heart as she tried to catch her breath.
Even though she was trying to calm down her breath was still shaky, a tear rolled down her cheek and as she leaned her head onto my hand for comfort. I haven't seen her like this sense she came back from her first time dying, its not something I like to see, her fear would show with everything she did.
I got up and sat on the couch next to her wrapping my arms around her to comfort her. She fell into me from both fear and weakness, she was still recovering from what had happened. She cried into my shoulder as I rubbed her back trying to comfort her but it didn't seem to work.
After awhile she cried herself to sleep once more, I gently laid her back down then covered her with the lancet in attempts to make her feel warm and safe once more. I sat back down on the chair next to her and took a deep breath then out came a yawn, it had been a long night and I was tired but I couldn't sleep with Faith like this. I laid my head on the back of the chair closing my eyes for a much needed break before my phone went off, I grabbed it out from my pocket to see who it was and it was Alaric calling me.
"Hello?" I answer in a quit manner.
"Hope I need you to get here now!" Alaric yells causeing me to remove the phone from my ear a bit.
"Alaric I'm with my sister who isn't really in a good place right now." I reply getting up from my seat.
"Please Hope, we need you here." Alaric says in almost a begging tone.
"Fine, I'll be there soon."
I grab Faiths keys from the table next to the door thankfully Damon brought her car back so I could use it. I was about to walk out the door when I look back to Faith who was sleeping in a somewhat peaceful manner. I sighed then walked out to the car and drove off having a bad feeling about leaving Faith like that.
When I got to the school I slowly walked up to Alaric's office having this pit in my stomach but ignoring it. When I get there I walk in without a knock or warning and look around to see Alaric and Dorian on either side of Kaleb who was sitting on a chair holding his stomach in pain. His face was red but still looked pale, his eyes were blood shot, and his veins were this scarlet red.
When I entered the room everyone looked at me as I scanned the situation. Although Kaleb was in clear distress I was unable to feel any remorse for him. I walked up to them no emotions on my face hiding the anger bubbling inside me. Alaric looked at me then walked up to me ushering me to the other side of the room away from Kaleb.
"Hope there's something wrong with Kaleb and I think your sister had something to do with it." He said while crossing his arms.
"I know she did, because he almost sucked Faith dry of her blood." I say with anger.
