THIRD-PERSON POV
And just like that, their week of bliss and living within the clouds was over. Bright on Monday morning, the knocking came from the front door. Leo barely managed to get it open before everyone came piling in: the cooks, the cleaners, and Damon.
Damon looked out of his mind. He was more than happy to hand over the responsibility back to Aria and Leo. He had no idea how they managed to run a Mafia when he could barely do it for a week. Thankfully nothing urgent came the entire week, but it was still annoying having to juggle so many little tasks that were business-related things on top of the war. Damon got annoyed having to gather everyone for training, so halfway through the week, he called it off.
The couple did not seem amused to see that they had to get back to their lives, but Damon noticed that they looked relatively happy and well-rested. He assumed they had a good week despite being trapped in the same house together for seven whole days.
"Hey Damon," Aria smiled, pulling him into a hug.
"You can't cover for like one more week?" Leo asked, pulling Aria back into his arms when her hug with Damon ended.
Damon laughed, "Are you kidding me? This was the most miserable shit."
"Boo hoo, we're giving you a year off," Aria argued back, smiling when Damon pretended to zip his lips shut.
"Yeah, can you see now why we're the way we are," Leo joked. Aria pinched his shoulder.
"We are perfectly normal," she said. It was silent for a moment. "Okay we're not normal, but we're fine the way we are."
"How is your scar?" Damon asked her.
She shrugged, "It's fine, still noticeable."
To be honest, she forgot all about it. Leo made her forget about a lot of things this past week, truth be told.
"Well as long as you're okay, that's what matters," Damon smiled as his little sister. "Now, we have a normal week of training."
Aria groaned, "Actually, I think I'm in pain."
Leo laughed, "Really? You weren't in any pain this past week."
"Sorry, what was that daddy?" she mocked, smirking when his eyes narrowed. Oh, she was gonna get it later for sure.
Damon began humming to himself, knowing it was better than listening to anything they were going to say. But then Aria's phone began to ring, causing all the conversation to stop.
She answered her phone, seeing that it was Victoria. Damon and Leo couldn't understand anything that was being said, but when her eyes went from wide and shocked to a smirk, they knew she was up to no good.
"I'll be there soon," she hung up, looking at the two boys. "Well, I'm out of training as is Claire, Elena, and Victoria, just for today."
"Is anything wrong?" Damon asked, confused.
"Everything's fine. We just have some girly business to take care of," Aria smiled. Leo looked at her suspiciously. If there was anything that Leo learned about Aria and her friends is that they were always up to no good.
Seriously something was always going on amongst them, and it was hard to find out what when they were always so hush-hush about everything. Leo was glad that Aria's friends were still there for her though. He knew that they meant the world to Aria, after him of course.
"Alright then, be careful. Take a gun with you and guards, call me if you need absolutely anything," Leo told her. He trusted her, she would tell him whatever was going on later.
