"Take care of my son, Aria. Tell him and my wife that I love them," he whispered.

"No, Steven, you're going to tell them yourself. You can't leave them. Please, you have to stay strong. Hold on please," I was begging him. I didn't know what to do. "Don't close your eyes, Steven. Please keep them open."

I noticed his eyes motion over to the gun that was a couple of feet away, "Save L-Leo, Aria." He managed to get out.

I hesitantly picked up the gun, my shaking hands covered in blood. I didn't even know how to shoot a gun, but now was the time to learn.

"Mr. Moretti, you will live through this. You will be with Sofia; you will not leave any of us. I will be right back, keep your eyes opened," I begged him, getting off the ground walking towards where the two men were fighting. I pointed the gun towards them.

Dimitri was on top of Leo; gun pointed right at Leo's head. Leo turned towards me, his lips turning up ever so slightly. His face was bruised and bloody. He opened his mouth and murmured the words, "I love you."

Time seemed to stop. Silence filled the air.

Bang.

His body stilled before he fell over, blood oozing out of him. There was a ringing in my ears. The gun slipped out of my hands and fell onto the floor.

I heard screaming come from behind me. It was Sofia; she was sobbing in agony holding her husband's hand for dear life. The paramedics came in, rushing over to Mr. Moretti. They immediately began their best efforts in keeping Steven alive.

I heard a cough come from in front of me, noticing Leo trying to get up. I ran over to him, making sure he didn't move much.

"Leo, you're hurt, don't move," I told him, tears coming out of my eyes.

"My dad, I have to see him," he groaned out, trying to get up again.

"The paramedics are helping him; you need to be helped too, Leo. Please," I begged him. He fell unconscious. I kept my eyes on him, not allowing them to wander over to the now lifeless body that was only a foot away.

The other paramedics made their way over to Leo and I. They pushed me away slightly, but I kept my hand on Leo's. I wasn't going to let go.

"Miss you have to let go. We have to get him to the hospital," one of the men urged me.

I shook my head, "No, I'm coming with."

"There won't be enough space," he tried telling me.

"Aria, hun, let go. We'll meet them at the hospital." It was my dad's voice, but he was trying to hold me back.

"No, I have no be with him," I screamed, trying to get out of my dad's grasp. The paramedic ripped Leo's hand out of mine.

"Aria, please. We have to see if your hurt," my mom's voice said softly. I looked at her and noticed the tears falling from her eyes.

"I'm not, I have to go with Leo," I screamed again before they took his body out of the room. I broke down, sobbing in my dad's arms as my mom came over and held both of us.
