Chapter. 1 Beta

The sound of wind whizzing through the grassy plains near the town of beginnings, near the forest the sounds of growling and clashing of metal is heard.

A pack of dire wolves slowly approaching a boy clad in leather gear with white cloths as a hood, he raises his sword above his head.

Y/n:"lets tango!"

Immediately the wolves pounced, y/n dodged this initiatial attack and slides to the side. He jumps into the air and unto a branch.

Y/n:"damn, you guys are quick!"

The wolves growl again.

Y/n:"fine then suit yoursleves..."

As he stood from the branch, the sword starts glowing blue. Then he jumps down quickly decapitating one of the wolves.

A wolf tries to bite his leg but he pulls his leg away and kicks the wolf's stomach.

The other wolves attack, y/n raises his sword over his shoulder. As the wolves got close they jumped unto y/n
But y/n takes one step back and swings his sword immediately decapitating the wolves all at once.

Y/n:"phew* damn didn't expect there to be so many wolves.... Well i guess it's ok."

Y/n then opens a quest menu and accepts the items for killing the pack of dire wolves.

Y/n:"man... Why am i even doing this? I mean this is beta, any progress i do won't be saved into the game release anyways...."

He said then suddenly he hears footsteps behind him and turns around.

A boy stands black hair and black eyes he stared at y/n, so he y/n stared back.

???:"ehm, excuse me?"

Y/n:"shi- yes?!"

???:"do you need any help? I mean i heard clashing of swords here so i thought someone was in trouble..."

Y/n:"oh! Im fine! No scratches see?"

???:"uh huh? Well anyways i should go..."

Y/n:"yeah..."

The boy then left, y/n sighed.

Y/n:"that was odd..."

Announcer:"beta testers please proceed to the plaza."

Y/n:"welp i better go then..."

A few minutes of walking later, y/n gets back to the plaza as other beta testers gathered aswell. Suddenly a the announcer pops out on the sky.

Announcer:" thank you for participating in the beta test for sword art online beta testers, we congratulate you for helping us achieve something greater! We hope to see you on the full release of the game!"

The soundes of clapping is heard and people cheering.

Announcer:"beta test is complete! Comencing shut down procedures, to prepare for final game release!"

Y/n:"welp im leaving then..."

Y/n opens his menu and presses the quit button.

Timeskip...

Y/n wakes up from his sleep and removes the nerve gear.

Y/n:"man, can't wait for the full release..."

Y/n then proceeds to stand up and wash his face, he then walks to his kitchen as he hears a voice outside his door. He walks towards it and opened.

Suguha:"hey y/n, ready for school?"

Y/n wipes his eyes and stared as suguha.

Suguha:"..."

Y/n:"..."

Suguha:"you do remeber its Monday today right?"

Y/n:"yeah....?"

Suguha:"really?"

Y/n:"s-sorry..."

Suguha:"go get cleaned I'll prepare you breakfast..."

Y/n:"hey! You don't have to do tha?...

Y/n said as suguha just walked past him and went to the kitchen.

Y/n:"c'mon, you don't have to do this."

Suguha:"well yes, but as your friend i need to help you at all costs. So go get changed!"

Suguha started pushing y/n to his bathroom.

Y/n:"Allright i got it ma'am!"

Timeskip...

The sounds of the school bell ringing, as students walk out of the school after classes.

Meanwhile y/n heads to the kendo club where he usually meets up with his friends suguha and kazuto.

Kazuto:"there he is! Mister european you're late!"

Y/n:"yea.. I know, I know..."

Kazuto:"i heard from sis that she cooked you breakfast again..."

Y/n:"i told you my reasons, beta testing."

Kazuto:"hmmm, is that so? Me too..."

Y/n:"you're beta testing for sao too?"

Kazuto:"yep, and they're about to release the full game on Saturday you planning to play?"

Y/n:"hell yeah?! Why don't we form a party kazu.."

Kazuto:"hmmm, i dunno... I think its better if we do that yeah?"

Y/n:"yep, plus what floor did you reach?"

Kazuto:"floor ten.."

Y/n:"damn,me just nine"

Kazuto:"hahahahah! Lost by one."

Y/n:"how bout this, when the game is released I'll take you down on floor 22"

Kazuto:"that's if you reach the floor hahahaha"

Y/n:"oh i will, just you watch!"

Kazuto:"right, right. Time to focus here now."

Y/n:"right."

The two took Their stances as they readied they're kendo sticks, suddenly the two charged.

Minutes later both y/n and kazuto laid on the mat, sweaty and they're muscles hurting.

Y/n:"damn, that hurt kazuto"

Kazuto:"yeah... I didn't expect this."

Suddenly kazuto's phone rings, and he went to answer it.

Kazuto:"right, got it. Ok ok... Bye"

Y/n:"who was that? Suguha?"

Kazuto:"yep, i better get going y/n or Suguha's gonna be pissed!"

Y/n:"righty, I'll go home aswell."

As y/n walked on the night streets he stared as his phone on his contacts then pressed call.

Y/n:"hey.... Wassup! Eh nothing much just going home actually. Yeah yeah gotcha, maybe I'm not sure."

Y/n walked and walked as he talked on his phone, minutes later he reached his house

Y/n:"oh im already home, guess I'll see you next week? Ok ok then. Bye"

Y/n walks inside his house and sat on the couch, he stared at his tv and turned it on and started watching.

Hours later he stands up and goes into the kitchen and prepares himself dinner, then walks to his room with his dinner plate in hand.

And sat on the chair.

Y/n:"righty, so next week huh.... Guess I'll see ya here ma."
