Chapter One--------Knowing Me

(A/N: I know this could get boring and all but just read until the end. Sa simula lang yang boring2 na yan, baguhan palang kasi ako, so you can't expect me to be bongga.)

I FAILED. For the first time sa college life ko, I felt dumb. Hindi ko naabot ang 1.60 average mark para makapasok sa dean's list.

Eto ako ngayon at nagmumukmok sa isang tabi, wondering why I only got 1.70 as an average. Boplaks ba ako? Shunga? Ba't si Kuya't Ate, magagaling? Ba't ako... Ughh. Kakainis. Pa'no nalang pag nalaman ito ni mommy? Aisssh. I faced the mirror and asked myself, ''Ano kayang meron ako na ikakaproud nina mommy at daddy?''

Ay, by the way, Hi! Annyeong Haseyo! Bonjour! Ako si Angelica Christie Alcantara. I'm sixteen and magsesecond year na sa college (and bukas ang first day. Hmp.) and I'm taking up BA Communication as a course. Hindi ako kagandahan, hindi rin katalinuhan, at, believe it or not, walang katalent-talent. In short, plain, simple, BORING. More than being a great broadcast journalist, what I want to achieve in life is to make my Mommy and Daddy proud of me. Well, di naman ako yung ''craving for love'' type of person, love naman ako ng parents ko but I like it, or rather, I love it when the say, ''Yes, anak ko yan, siya yung magaling sa blahblahblah'' yung ganong tipo ba. Sa 100 attempts ko para maging proud sila, 101 yung fail, ganon ako ka-kawawa. I'm not that socially active, I only stick with my friends and I don't talk to strangers. I prefer staying by myself, cause there's less or even no drama at all.

Back to the real world, I found myself getting up and climbing down the stairs, dinner na daw.

Habang kumakain, (well, we don't sit together in a table, maliit lang kasi table namin) my Mom said, ''Pasukan na bukas sa college n'yo ah? So, I expect good grades ha.'' sa first day of the new sem pinapadala sa amin ang aming mga grade slips.

''Well, alam mo na naman yung grades namin 'my. Nagpadala na kaya ng SMS ang school.''---ate (oo, ngapapadala ng SMS ang School namin)

''Yes, I know yours and Kuya's, but I don't know about the little girl's.'' she was referring to me.

''Ahehe. 'My, eh, ibibigay naman yun bukas, you'll know it. Hehe'' kabado kong sagot.

''Oks. Basta ha. Tandaan nyong may edge talaga kayo over the others kapag matataas grades nyo.''

*kroo kroo* tahimik lang ako. Pa'no nalang pag nalaman nila. Huhuhu.

Kinabukasan...

Nagpa-swipe na ako ng ID pampaverify ng aking grades. Waaaa! I'm hating this! Gusto kong sapukin lahat ng profs ko. Waaa! Ah basta, whatever. Pumasok na ako sa classes ko and as usual, boring naman. Di ko classmates ang dating blockmates ko. Huhu.

Umuwi na ako. This. Is. It. Pumasok na ako sa bahay, nagmano ke mommy. ''1.70 is not bad, but it's not good. I should say that I'm a bit disappointed, I expected high of you pa naman.''

''Sorry po mommy. I'll try my best this sem po. Di na mauulit.''

''Don't just try. Do your best.'' may iniabot itong mga grade slips. ''Check your Ate's grade. Ke Kuya din. See the difference?''

Talagang disappointed si mommy sa lagay na ito. Tiningnan ko ang mga slips. Wow. Lowest ni ate is 1.50 at ke kuya naman ay 1.30. Hinayupak, ang talino! >_<

''Mommy, sorry.''

No reaction si Mommy.

''Sorry na Mommy.''

Wala pa rin. Haaaay.

''Mommy!! Sorry na! Times two! Times two, times two, times two, times two, times two! Sorry naaa. T.T''

''Shhhh! Shupi ka nga! Basta ha, ayus-ayusin mo naman sa susunod, mahal kaya ng tuition, so dapat mataas grades. Ha? Ha?''

Pasalamat talaga ako't parang good mood si mommy ngayon. Haay. Pero, kahit na good mood, alam kong na-disappoint ko siya.

4:30 PM na at papunta na ako sa discussion room. May dalawa kasi akong organization na sinalihan. Isa dun ay magmi-meeting ngayon, dito sa DR. Ang organization na ito ay para lang sa mga youth leader, opo, youth leader ako. Hehe.

Papasok na ako sa DR nung...
