Chapter 22

"I don't understand... I'll be magicless?"
He sighs and shakes his head, slapping his forehead. "No."
She tilts her head to the side in confusion. "Then I don't understand."

"Where are they?!" he yelled, shaking the man by the shoulders.
"T-they went to the Black Moon guild! I'm so sorry!"
"Stop apologizin'!" he yelled in the man's face and let him go. "Let's go Beth."

"Please... don't leave me..." he whispers into her cold shoulder. "I can't be alone again... I don't want to be alone..."

"Do you hear anything?" he asked the poison dragon slayer.
"Yeah... It's faint, but someone is crying over there." he said pointing towards the mountain. "Let's go."
They both walked, knowing that it will take a lot of time until they reached the Black Moon guild. And hopefully they climb on the right side.

"You will be yourself, but I will give you a gift." he told her. "It's the first time something like that ever happened."
"So that means I am weak."
"No!"

They breathe heavily, already half way up the mountain.
"Are you sure the guild is on this mountain?" he asked once again.
"Yes!" he repeated. "The crying is getting louder."
"I'm sure we're thinking the same thing." Midnight mumbled.
Cobra grunted. "If only we stealed the exceeds from the little girl and Black Steel."
"Are we almost there?"
"It's getting louder."
"Who's crying?" Midnight asked concerned.
Cobra shakes his head in answer. "I don't think I want to know."

"Listen!" he yelled.  "Are you a child or what?!"
"I'm listening!" she yelled back. "You just need to explain it better!"
"I'm explaining it fine! It's not my fault your stupid!"
"I am not!"

"If only time will rewind or stop completly... I don't want this to—"

They huffed. Finally they had reached the Black Moon guild.
"Good... thing... we climbed... on... the right... side..." Midnight stated, hands on his knees, regaining his breath.
"Yeah..." Cobra huffed out. "It's beacause... of my... good... hearing..."
"Of course." Midnight said and stood up, straightening his back. "Don't you think it's too quiet?"
"Quiet? The crying is insane!"
Midnight glared at him. "Normal hearing."
Cobra rolled his eyes and dismissed him. He started to walk towards the door. His hand outstretched, ready to open the door, but he stopped in his tracks.
"What is it?" Midnight asked behind him.
"It's weird..." Cobra uttered. "The crying is faint, but at the same time it's not."
Midnight stared at him confused. "What?"

"Is he dead? I can't seem to remember..."
He sighs irratated. "That's not what we're talking about, right now."
"I am aware!" she yelled. "I'm just asking, that's it!"
He groans loudly frustrated and answered; "NO!"

"Let's just go inside." Midnight recommended. "We'll worry about it later."
Cobra nodded in agreement and pushed open the door.
Their breaths caught itselves in their throats and their eyes widden. The scene before their eyes was certainly insane.
