Chapter 5- Hanging with Cat Valentine

As I got into school there was a small group of people gathered in front of my locker. They were the familiar faces of: Jade, Tori and Cat. I walked on over and pushed past to get to my locker.

"Hey Y/N!" Tori beamed giving me a wave.

"Uh...hey." I smiled awkwardly back and went to open my locker.

"Jade had something to-" Tori began to say but she got interrupted by Jade pulling her by the wrist off into the janitors closet.

"Does that always happen?" I asked Cat.

"Yeah all the time" She replied. I opened my locker and dumped off a few books into it.

"You haven't decorated your locker yet?" Cat pointed out.

"Oh no I haven't really figured out what I want to do." I shrugged slaming shut my locker door.

"Yeah sure." I replied. Cat lead me over to the other side of lockers and pointed out a locker on the bottom row. Her locker was a bright hot pink with a bunch of grass a little red ladybug poked out.

"Oh that is certainly...unique..." I offered a smile.

"You don't like it.." She frowned her eyes widening up like a puppy dog begging.

"No no no it's not that I do like it. Unique is good." My attempt at comforting her succeeded and a smile once again was brought to her face. "Hey you know what I have an idea. Do you know where I can find black and white spray paint?" I asked with an excited smirk. Cat squeeled and then ran off ducking into a classroom justto coe back out a few minutes later cultching two cans of spray paint.

"I found them!" She giggled.

"This is perfect. Come one look." I smiled leading her back over to my locker.

"What are you doing?" She asked as I took the lid off the first spray paint can.

"Watch this." I replied spraying the midnight black colour paint over my locker as a base. I stood back for a moment making sure that the paint covered every edge. It didn't take long to dry so I began spraying the second colour over my locker. This time I sprayed the star light whute in a lady bug shape in the middle of my locker.

"Oh my god I love it!!" Cat shrieked.

"Me too. But I think it needs one more thing." I took out a thick white pen and handed it to Cat. "Sign your name"

"Why?" She asked curiously.

"Because you inspired me for this. And...well I think you're pretty cool so yeah that's that." I smiled bashfully. "Nevermind...here just sign it."

Cat took the pen and doodled her name in the bottom corner of my locker and drew a cute little heart next to it.

"Cute." I smiled.

"What are you doing?" Jade asked coming back from janitors closet with Tori.

"Cat helped me figure out what to put on my locker." I answered.

"It's stupid." Jade said in disgust.

"Yeah well you're stupid. Anyway Tori do you want to sign my locker too?" I offered the pen towards her.

"Yeah course!" She took the pen from me and wrote the words 'make it shine' underneath the lady bug to the right followed by her name.

"Just a question why are you getting people to sign it?" Tori asked.

"She thinks we're cool." Cat giggled.

"Is that why or she talking nonsense again?" Tori asked.

"Uh...I just thought it would be cool idea I don't know..." I tried to defend myself.

"Give me the pen." Jade snatched the pen off of Tori and began writing something at the bottom of my locker. She stepped back revealing what she had wrote.

"This is a stupid idea- Jade West..." Tori read.

"Your most welcome!" Jade imitated my accent passing the pen back to me.
