"Y/N..?"
My head immidiatly jerked upwards and with shakey hands a quickly wiped off my tears.
"Jade...?" I sniffed. "What...What are you doing here...?"
"What are you doing here? Are you crying..? What's wrong...?" She looked genuinelly concernered.
"Nothing...Nothing...It doesn't matter." I opened the door to leave but Jade quickly slammed it shut blocking my exit.
"It does matter...It matters to me." She reached out and squeezed my hand. "Come on. It's ok. You can tell me I promise."
"I'm not good enough..." I could feel the tears beginning to blur my vision.
"What?! What gave you that idea?" She kept her hand firmly on mine.
"I...I overheard my parents and they said-" I couldn't even finish my sentence before I started sobbing uncontrollerbly. Jade pulled me in close to her all of a sudden taking me into her arms.
"I'm not good enough for them...or anyone" I cried in her arms.
"You're good enough for me." She pulled away from the hug and carressed her hand against my cheek. "...and Hollywood arts and everyone. You shouldn't care what other people think ok? Did you hear the crowd? They loved you. You are good enough. Come on, lets dry those tears." She wiped the corner of my eye with the back of her thumb. I nodded and she pulled her hand back.
"I'm sorry...It's just so stupid." I smiled through the tears.
"It's ok you don't need to be sorry. I understand more then you realise. My dad is the same way." She handed me a tissue.
"I didn't know...I'm sorry." I said taking the tissue to dry my tears and wipe my runny nose.
"It's ok." She smiled. "Hey, there's an after party at nozu's. Do you want to come? It could be fun. Take your mind off things."
"Yeah sure. I would like that." I smiled. "Maybe I should sort my make up first." I laughed gesturing to my smudged eyeliner.
"Come here." Jade said. I did as she said stepping over to her. She took an eyeliner pen out of her back and tilted my head to the side. "Close your eyes."
I closed my eyes. I could feel the eyeliner pen colouring my skin. Jade moved swiftly along to create a flicked wing then once she had finished she tilted my head to the other side and did the exact same on the other eye.
"There. You can open your eyes now." She said. I slowly opened my eyes and turned to the mirror to see what Jade had done.
"I like it!" I smiled satisfied with the little wing.
"You ready to go?" She put the eyeliner pen back in her bag. I nodded and we both left the school.
We entered nozus together and everyone was already there celebrating excitedly.
"Hey look! It's Y/N and Jade!" Cat waved to us excitedly jumping up and down giggling. I waved back in return as everyone turned to us sharing a warm grin.
"We got a drink for you." Beck smiled passing us each a glass.
"What is it?" Jade asked.
"Some sort of lemonade?" He answered. I took a sip and sat down with the group in a booth at the side of the resturant.
"A toast." We all raised are glasses. "To the play being a success. And to Sikowitz for being a great teacher!"
"Cheers!" We all clinked glasses.
