He loved her more than anything. So even after being the king of Vaswians, he lived as a human. But one day for power and to show dominance, some stupid humans killed his queen.
She was the chain that prevented the monster inside him, but now that chain is broken and there is no one to control him and it happened.
The creature that humans considered as fantasy turns out to be real. 'Vaswians' came out of their den. Half of the population who the humans considered as themselves turned out to be Vaswians.
It contains a lot of creatures, including vampires, werewolves, shapeshifters, witches, wizards and many more creatures that humans have never heard of. And the king of these all creatures is Hade Lorgan.
In his command, the humans were preyed on. They lost their dominance and became petty slaves.
The people who killed his love were killed brutally by his hands and all other humans became the victims of some greedy people.
The years passed away and this is the story that every human knows. Every human parent told their children the story of the scary monster that no one dares to look at.
As a human Juno also knew this story but this story only increased Juno's scare. But being an orphan she didn't know to whom she should say her worries. She along with a lot of other girls of her age lived in the forbidden palace. This is the place where slaves were taught, about the behaviours, discipline and obedience a slave should have, and mainly how to survive in that palace where the monster lives.
The girls in the palace were either orphans or their parents sent them to work because of poverty. Juno was one of them.
But she didn't look like a servant. She had long hair which was goldish. Smooth, pale skin and had her innocent look which always pointed out her from everyone.
She was always afraid when they talked about going to the palace. But now when she opened her eyes she was standing in front of the palace in their uniform which covered their face as well as their smell.
It was made because the royalties didn't want any trained servants to die, after all, they spend a lot of money on their training.
She was walking inside the palace with a high heartbeat but suddenly the surroundings around her changed. She couldn't see anything. It was like she was running so fast and her surroundings were becoming a blur. But when she checked she was standing still.
After a second when she looked around the place was changed. She was standing inside a dark room where there was only a little light. She doesn't know why but she was so scared.
Suddenly she felt someone was behind her. She slowly turned around and met with a pair of golden black eyes. It didn't look like a human's. It towered over her, it looked like a lion but it was too big to be a lion and it had a pair of horns.
It terrified her to her core but still, she felt warmth when she looked at those eyes like she knew the owner of those eyes.
While she was mesmerised by those eyes her surroundings became a blur again and she was met with another pair of eyes.
This time the eye colour was pure black but she felt a lot of similarities between those two eyes. This time she wasn't terrified, she was welcomed with an emotion that she wasn't familiar with.
She could not take her eyes away, that's why she could not see who was the owner of those eyes but she hears what he told.
"I will not allow you to leave me again. This time I will protect you."
By hearing this a drop of tear fell from her eyes. Then again the surroundings changed and she felt pain in different parts of her body. When she looked at herself she saw a lot of bruises. She saw that she was bleeding, but some golden rays covered her body and she was healing but suddenly she felt extreme pain passing through her heart. It was a sword, a sword passed through her heart.
When she looked up she saw someone was running towards her. But she couldn't see who that person was, before that her eyes were covered by darkness.
While she was lying in that darkness she felt a hand in her hair. She suddenly opened her eyes and looked around. She was still in her room and it was a dream. But it felt too real.
Even after being a slave, she got a single room. After all, she was going to work for the royalties.
She sat on her bed like a statue for two or three minutes. She looked at the mirror on the right side of her bed. She could see her light reflection but everything else was dark. She told to herself,
"Calm down Juno, you just had a nightmare. Don't worry about going to the palace tomorrow. Everything will be okay."
She consoled herself. Then she lay on the bed looking at her reflection in the mirror. Slowly her eyes closed and she again fell asleep.
She looked so peaceful when she was sleeping. When she completely fell asleep a man came out of the darkness and walked towards her.
He sat beside her and gently patted her head. He also looked at the reflection and gave a small smile and whispered
"You are finally coming back to the palace. But this time I will make you safe and will never and ever allow you to leave me again, Hera."
After saying this he stood up and moved towards the window. He opened it, looked at her lastly then jumped out. Juno was still sleeping without knowing any of this and what destiny had planned for her.
I have 3.. 4 cover pages to this book but i am highly confused to choose which one. Pls help me
