A light knock could be heard from outside. Juno slowly opened her eyes. Her room wasn't completely bright because it was only six in the morning.

She again heard a light knock. She got out of bed and moved towards the door to open. She slowly opened the door. The person who was knocking on the door was no other than Juno's only friend Maria.

Maria gave Juno a warm smile and told her,

"Juno, it's already six. Please get ready and come downstairs by eight o clock."

She said straightly. Even though they are best friends, they can't talk very friendly. Even the walls have ears in that castle.

Being a royal maid is not simple. You cannot talk friendly inside the palace. You have to speak only the useful things, not some friendly things.

After their little straight talk. Maria gave Juno a piece of paper and went away with a light smile.

Juno closed the door and did not forget to ensure that the doors were locked. After ensuring she opened the letter and started to read.

Juno, Juno, Juno,

Finally, we are going to escape from here. Yeah, I know the royal palace is not the best place but it is better than here. We will at least get a position, we will be recognised by our names, not humans. I don't know why but I really really think that going to the palace is going to change our lives and I am super excited. So I will be downstairs in 1 hour and you should come after ten or fifteen minutes.

With love

 me.

Juno smiled at herself and folded the letter neatly. She looked outside through the only window. Slowly she went towards the balcony and looked outside.

Sunlight was slowly touching everything and it looked so beautiful. The sky was orange, but it was quite beautiful. Slowly the orange rays started to come towards her. She felt so good when those rays kissed her gently. At least for a moment, she forgot about all her worries and she blended into nature. Then to say her a good morning a small wind passed through her golden hair. Few strands of her hair moved along with the wind. She tucked those hair strands behind her ear and she breathed the fresh air which had the smell of earth, trees and the whole world. She felt so good. Now physically and mentally, she was ready for a new beginning.

.................................................................

It was already 7:10. She was ready to go downstairs. But before she opens her doors and goes downstairs she takes the letter Maria gave her and goes towards the small fireplace which was giving warmth to that cold room.

She bent down and looked at that fire for a few seconds. She felt warmth but a cold warmth. She looked at the neatly folded paper in her hands and extended it to the fire. Slowly it started to catch fire and she put it inside the fire.

She looked at the paper burning completely. It was burning like the emotions of the slaves when they stood before the Vaswians. To them, the emotions of humans are some fake things they show to get what they want. It was partly true because humans use emotions to convince a person what they are thinking. She knew it was true but not for all. Not all emotions are fake, not all people are fake.

She sighed and looked at her room for the last time. The room she was living in for the last fourteen years. Now it will become someone else, some other slave's room.

She checked one more time that she packed everything. After she confirmed she looked at the mirror the last time. She was wearing the royal uniform.

It was a grey long dress with a maroon cloak that can cover their head. It was simple but made of soft and expensive fabrics. They were trained to walk and work in that long dress. For a beginner, it will be difficult but for a person who has been living in the mansion for more than half her life, it wasn't.

She covered her head and went outside. Slowly in a very peaceful way she went downstairs and went towards where other slaves were standing. 'Slaves' she found this word very ugly but what to do she is one of the people that the word represents.

In a few minutes, everyone gathered there and stood in a very disciplined manner. No one dared to go against the rules. Something they learned after spending their childhood there.

When the clock showed 7:45 they were ordered to get inside the carriage. They got outside the palace in a single queue and got inside the carriage one by one. It's been years since they all went outside.

Juno was both excited and scared. Excited that she is finally out of that mansion and scared that she is going to be a royal maid of the palace where the king of kings lives. But she didn't dare to show her emotions on her face. She is not a person who doesn't have emotions, none of the girls who were sitting around silently were. But they are afraid..... They are scared.

In an hour they reached the palace. Just like how they got inside they stepped out of the carriage like they were some possessed dolls.

When they were standing outside they could hear some sounds of sob and everything. Juno did know what that sound was. New humans to the palace. To say specifically the untrained.

When Juno and other girls are named as royal maids the untrained ones were called nothing but just some slaves. The royal maids have more privilege and freedom than the servants. But still, they all have one thing in common: either they are orphans or they are abandoned.

So the palace takes people who have no one to care about. No one protests about it because they know that being servants is far far better than meeting a wolf who is in sheep's face and vanishes from this world like you never existed.

A sound interpreted Juno's thoughts, a familiar sound.

"Everyone come inside. This is the backside of the palace and we don't welcome disobedience here."

A chill passed through Juno, she had sudden goosebumps also. She is damn sure that she knows this sound so well but she doesn't know whose it is. Then she felt that the people around her were moving, so she also started to walk.

Then they got inside the palace through a big door and she felt warmth.....warmth of home.

But how could she feel the warmth when she was standing inside the palace of Hade Lorgan.
