"Are we meant ask for something," Jawn assessed the ouija board him and Awsten were currently using.
"O' spirit, I humbly ask for my youth," Awsten giggled out, fingers remaining on the planchette, "Nah we just fuckin' talk to it and shit."
The planchette began to shift across the board.
'Yes'
"Did you move that, dude," Jawn's eyes were wide with shock.
Awsten's eyes were equally wide, giddy with excitement, "No way."
Awsten settled himself to respond to the board, "Uh, yes to talking?"
The planchette moved again.
"This is creepy as fuck, Aws," Jawn expressed as the planchette landed on 'No', "You swear this isn't you?"
"I'm not, man, I swear," Awsten exclaimed, eyes firmly planted on the board, "Yes to what then?"
The planchette moved again, but this time drifting towards the letters.
Awsten parroted the letters that the planchette stopped on.
"Y"
"O"
"U"
"T"
"H"
Dizzy. He was unbearably. He dropped his head and closed his eyes hoping to calm the sudden mental whirlwind.
It felt like his mind was being renovated and the entire thing was being wrapped in big fluffy carpet.
"Aws!"
Awsten immeadiate instinct to whine. Was he in trouble? He didn't know why, he was pretty sure he was a good boy. Maybe he was wrong, Jawn was a big boy.
"Awsten?!!"
Awsten finally opened his eyes, looking at the other male.
Jawn's hands were off of the planchette. No matter how soft and strange Awsten currently felt he knew that was definitely a bad thing. The planchette suddenly moved rapidly to the other side of the board and Awsten's fingers couldn't follow.
Bad. Awsten wondered if that was why Jawn had shouted at him, because he knew Awsten was going to be bad.
"I-i didn't mean to," Awsten stuttered out.
"Shit, dude," Jawn exclaimed, "You didn't move for like five minutes."
"S-sorry," Awsten whined, looking away from the redhead.
"S-sorry," Awsten whined, looking away from the redhead.
"Hey, Aws," Jawn's eyes softened, moving closer to the boy, "Are you alright?"
Awsten felt a hand on his shoulder. A hand he quickly realised wasn't Jawn's. The grip was absolutely freezing and before the boy could react the hand gave a sharp squeeze and suddenly the carpet on his mind was gone.
"I, uh, I'm fine," Awsten shook his head in hopes of clearing it, "I'm just a little spooked, I guess."
_______________________________________"This place is fucking disgusting," Awsten announced, as the walked into the McDonald's parking lot, quickly earning a shove from Jawn.
"Dude, shut up," Jawn muttered, "Someone who works here might hear you!"
Awsten rolled his eyes, "They probably think it's disgusting too."
"They might kick us out," Jawn explained as they entered the fast food joint.
"As if," Awsten cried, "They'd only do that if we had a gun or something."
