2012, March 14th

It was a sunny evening, a change from the rain that had been going all week, and it actually placed Akaashi on a better mood. He sat on the same chair he'd sat almost every afternoon, only moved so the sun hit his shoulders as it entered in the room.

Tamiko still slept on her bed, the flowers had died some time ago and been replaced with new ones he bought once every other week. However, it saddened him that the room was gradually more decorated. It meant she was staying more time in it. Without waking up.

The boy shook his head; he wasn't about to start overthinking that again. He focused on her again.

"Oh, yeah. I don't know if Yukie and Kaori told you already, but Anahori has a crush. I want you to know it's your fault I know this" he playfully glared at her "My observation skills aren't supposed to tell me about other's love life unless those others tell me. But because of you and your nosy observation skills, now I pick up on these details and feel the need to tell you"

It was true, of course. Before Tamiko, Keiji would notice this type of stuff —he couldn't not notice it, he was observant like that— but he'd brush it off. Since he'd met her however, he'd made a comment next to her once or twice, and she'd acted offended because he hadn't told her at first. And what was only a comment, turned into an interrogation about that subject.

So Akaashi made sure his girl was up to date with whatever he found out about anyone, so her gossip needs were satisfied. It was never evil intended, there was no harm in their gossip, Tamiko was just nosy and curious.

"Anyways, might as well give you everything. It's a little painful to watch" he cringed "He gets all red in front of them and can hardly utter a word. Konoha shook his head and took him away before he "Made himself look more pathetic", as he said. Were we like this when we liked each other but didn't act on it?"

Keiji Akaashi hated it.

He'd been thinking about her when she was not around, he'd found it hard to concentrate, and when she was around, he'd been having trouble thinking straight, felt himself a tad bit hotter, and couldn't make eye contact.

And he absolutely hated it, because they used to have such a nice dynamic. He enjoyed their conversations, and spending time with her and going along what she had in mind. But at the same time, he liked it, because he knew he liked her.

So he was in the midst of a disagreement between feelings. He couldn't hate his feelings, because it was kind of inevitable to fall for the white haired beauty, but he also didn't love them because now he felt like he could ruin their friendship if he kept acting the way he'd been.

The calm and collected Keiji Akaashi was indeed panicking and frustrated.

"So when are you gonna ask her out?" Bokuto asked through his full mouth.

"Bokuto, I can't understand anything you say when you're eating" his tone might have come off a little harsher than he wanted, but he was in distress.

It's not like his friend cared, he knew he didn't mean it.

"Tami. When are you asking her out?" he repeated once he'd swallowed his piece of sandwich "We all know you like her, it's pretty obvious"

Kotaro Bokuto might not be very good at math or at reading other's emotions, but he knew his best friends. This one in particular, had a crush on one of his other best friends, that he knew she liked him back. So math wasn't his best subject, but he still knew that 2 + 2 = 4, so two people liking each other equaled they should date. It was simple. See, Bokuto actually knew stuff, he wasn't dumb.
