Virat Speaks The Truth!

A/n :- Hi everyone! This is my first time writing a story. Hope you all like it ☺️.

This continues from the episode when Sai finds Virat and Patralekha talking about the commitment at Harini's Birthday party.

When Sai brought this topic up in front of the family, Virat opened his mouth and told them about the commitment he had given to Pakhi and that it is now invalid.What should have happened in this episode (my thought)

It was a bright morning and Sai was ready to go to college. She came to the hall, where all the residents of Chavan Nivas were sitting.

Ashwini - "Please have some breakfast  Sai. I don't want you to go to college on an empty stomach"

Sai - " No aai, I don't feel like eating now. I will eat something from the canteen."

Ninad - "Why do you want to have something in the college canteen and waste your husband's money"

Sai - "Baba, I am not wasting my husband's money. I am using the money my Father left for me."

Just at that moment, Pakhi enters the room and starts her vicious smear campaign.

Pakhi -  "Sai is not having breakfast... Because she is angry."

Sonali - "Who has made the maharani angry ? Who has commited this crime ?"

Pakhi - " She is angry because she seen Virat talking to me"

Sonali asks Sai, " Why are you angry about that ? They are friends, they can talk whenever they want."
Sonali looks at kaku and continues, " Now we must all stop talking to Virat, otherwise Maharani will get angry"

Pakhi - " What do you expect from her? She even got angry at Virat, and fought with him. Poor Virat, he had to sleep on the couch after he was injured."

Pakhi then asks Sai, " You came here to take care of him na ? Then, why did you throw him out of the room ?. Who gave you the right ? ".

When kaku and her gang hear  this, they begin to insult Sai, by calling her Maharani.

Sai looks at Pakhi and replies,  "First of all, Pakhi didi, I didn't make him sleep on the couch. He went and slept by himself. He is not some child to be punished and told to sleep anywhere."

"Secondly, How do you know he slept on the couch. No one in the family knew, even I didn't know. Either he told you or you are keeping a watch on him. "

Pakhi - " What are you trying to imply ?
Virat is a member of this family. If I don't care for him, who will?"

Sai- "You can take care of him, but how do you know each and everything? Other members of the family didn't even know that he slept on the couch. Even I didn't know. But you knew. That means you do keep a watch on him."

Pakhi- "Sai, it's enough. Why do you insult me for everything? I was passing by and saw him sleeping on the couch. And he was uncomfortable".

Sai- "You would have definitely told him to sleep in the bedroom. Didn't you? After all your his so called BEST FRIEND"
Pakhi gets angry and starts insulting Sai.
Sai had enough of it... By then Virat had come down. He saw Sai and everyone present there was very angry.
He asked what's the matter. Pakhi then asks Virat to tell everyone that because of his fight with Sai he slept on the couch. Virat tells Pakhi it's not because of Sai. He went on his own and slept on the couch. Virat tells Sai to stop all the drama and go to college. Sai then tells him, when she starts telling the truth it's a drama but when your family starts insulting me you don't say anything. Virat was quite hurt with her behaviour and her rudeness. Pakhi says that she wants some rest and asked kaku for permission. Kaku said Yes. Pakhi was going to her room but was stopped by Sai. Sai asks Pakhi one question saying,

Sai- " Pakhi didi.. I will ask you some questions,  your answer will clear all  doubts. But I request Virat Sir also to be here since his presence here is important"

Then Sai asks her questions.

"So Pakhi didi, the 1st question is

"What relation do you have with Virat Sir?"

When Sai asked this question everyone was shocked... Even Virat and Pakhi . Pakhi didn't answer. Sai asked the 2nd question.

"Did you marry Samrat Dada so that you could get close to Virat?"

Pakhi was not answering the questions then she went to Virat and asked him
Answer the questions Virat Sir.

Sai- "Did you not tell me on our marriage day that you have committed yourself to someone else?"

Virat-  Yes,I did say that.

Sai- "Wasn't that person Pakhi didi?" 

Before Virat could answer Pakhi pulled Sai and was going to slap her. Virat stepped in held pakhis hand and said
" No one gave you permission to touch my wife. Lay your hand on her and face the consequences "

Pakhi looked sad and was crying a lot. ( If she only learnt how to mind her own business )

Virat told Sai, " Yes. I made a commitment to Pakhi, that my marriage to Sai was just a deal. That I would not interfere in her marriage with Samrat, but I will still love her."

Sonali and Karishma looked at each other in shock. And kaku, omkar and Ninad looked at each other.

Karishma thought to herself,  "Pakhi acts like such an innocent person, but who knew this is the type of person she is"

Pakhi couldn't believe that Virat would tell about the commitment.
The family members were all shocked. They couldn't believe what they just heard. Sai continued further.

"Were you in love with Pakhi did or not?"
But you were not ready to break your brothers heart so you gave her a promise and told her to marry your brother. And did you not tell her that you will not give any girl a place in your heart?

They all were waiting for the answer. Pakhi was hoping that Virat would lie but he didn't. Since he wanted a fresh start with Sai.

Virat- Yes, I had promised Pakhi that I will not give any girl a place in my heart or love any girl. But that was just for my brother's happiness. I didn't want my brother to become sad. I know I should have not made any commitment to Pakhi but I made a commitment and that was the biggest mistake I made. But I'm telling everything truthfully. That commitment is no longer valid. Because I don't love Pakhi anymore. Nor did I love her earlier, it was just an attraction. Not love.
She is just my brother Samrat's wife and for me, a sister-in-law and a friend. But there are some limits.

Ashwini cried and said," I told you, she keeps coming after Virat. But no one ever listens to me."

Virat continued

He told Pakhi, "Pakhi, I'm very sorry that I had given you that commitment. But now I don't think the commitment is valid. I think you should move on in life and I will do the same."

Sai told the family, "Now, since you all know what was going on and who was wrong all this time. The next time you  insult me,you all will be in trouble."
