Varian smiled as Hugo rested his head on his lap, staring at nothing in particular. "Have I told you how much I love you?" Hugo asked, now looking up at the shorter teen with eyes filled with nothing but love. "Not since this morning, but I wouldn't mind hearing it again," Varian responded, a hand moving to tangle his fingers through soft, blonde hair. "Well, I love you. So much." Varian's heart swelled at the words, looking at him with the same amount of love and adoration as the other. "I love you too. I love you more than I love science." Hugo chuckled, getting up to plant a short but sweet kiss on Varian's lips. "I'm flattered, Hummingbird."
Varian hummed, not saying anything more. Instead, he wrapped his arms around Hugo's neck, bringing him closer to rest his forehead on his. Hugo wrapped his arms around Varian's waist, a soft smile on his face. The two fell into blissful silence, relishing in each other's presence. "Hugo?" "Hm?" "I love you." Hugo chuckled, pulling back to cup Varian's face in his hands. Varian melted into the touch, staring at emerald green eyes. Varian had no complaints when Hugo leaned in to kiss him, smiling into the kiss. Hugo broke the kiss, moving to kiss Varian's forehead. "I love you too, Varian."
