The boy ran into the first room he saw.

He got inside and shut the door making sure to lock it from the inside. Turning around, his back hit the door softly as he slowly slid down the smooth surface trying to be as quiet as possible.

Then he took out his phone which fortunately hadn't ran out of battery. Yet.

With shaky hands, he dialed the first number he could think of. He put the phone up to his ear and listened to it as it rang.

The first ring.

"I-I need you, Minho," he softly let out through his quivering lips as he tightened his grip on the phone.

The second.

He slowly lowered his head as a tear rolled down his cheek and fell onto his shirt. "Please, please pick up."

The third.

He remained mute, biting down on his lower lip to prevent making any sound which would give away his location.

The fourth.

And then it stopped.

The boy brought down the silent device from his ear in confusion. His eyes widening in horror as he saw the phone starting to turn off.

He frantically clicked everywhere on the screen, hoping that it would somehow not turn off but to no avail.

He stared at the lifeless black screen, his reflection staring back at him.

He looked... he looked scared. He looked terrified, his hair was a mess and he didn't look like himself–like the boy who always smiled no matter what.

Instantly the sour feeling of regret seeped into his bones, numbing his body with the fruitless thought that maybe he should have called the police first.

His eyes glistened with newly formed tears. "F*ck this," he cursed and let the phone drop to the floor with more tears of frustration trailing down his cheeks.

He brought both of his knees up to his chest, laying his head on top of them as he continued soundlessly sobbing. "Please save me, Min. I can't-"

"I know you are somewhere here, Jisung."

The named boy lifted his head up in shock. He had no idea who this man was nor did he know what he wanted from him or how he even knew his name.

"Are you perhaps..... hiding in the bathroom?" The man said making him widen his eyes and turn his head to look at the wooden barier separting him from his possible death. He heard foot steps coming closer to the bathroom.

Suddenly he couldn't breathe. He felt suffocated. Suffocated with the anxiety of getting caught. His throat grew dry and scratchy like he was made of thorns. He clawed on his neck with his trembling hands.

"But you are smarter than that now, aren't you?" The man said in a almost mocking voice and then he laughed.

He laughed his haunting laugh making the hair on the back of Jisung's neck raise.

Shivers ran down his spine as he brought his hand down from his neck to his arm, clutching on it harshly while biting down on his other hand to try to prevent himself from trembling.

"Come on, just tell me where you are and make it easier for the both of us!" the man stated louder than the previous time. "You know you can't run away from me. I will find you no matter where you are."

Gasping, Jisung threw his head back trying to breathe properly. He felt trapped. Trapped like a helpless animal with the predator locked in the same cage, ready to hunt him down at any moment.

He knew he couldn't escape but that didn't stop him from trying. He had a very small hope, a voice at the back of his head telling him not to give up but slowly every streak of hope was dissapearing–being buried deep down his brain as fear clouded all his senses.

He was overwhelmed with all the emotions. He felt scared. He felt frustrated. He felt regret.

He felt so much yet he felt nothing at all–numb.

Now all he could really do was pray and so that's what he did. He shut his eyes and prayed. Prayed for the man to go away.

More footsteps were heard. This time in the opposite direction.

He let out an uneven breath, feeling slightly relieved.

But then he heard his favourite voice and the main door creaked open.

"Babe, I am home! Where are you?"

Jisung whipped his head around hearing his boyfriend's voice.

"No no noo why-" he bit his lip in distress. "What if he tries to hurt Minho.... I-I can't let that happen."

Quickly getting up on his feet, he tightly clutched the small butter knife he was able to grab before hiding.

Click.

He unlocked the door, twisting the knob and pushing the door open.

It was silent.

Too silent?

No trace of Minho having stepped into the house.

"Babe!"

Jisung looked to his left seeing the man standing there, an axe in his right hand.

Then the man pulled his hood down.

And he smiled.

Jisung opened his mouth but nothing came out. He just stared at the familiar man in confusion, oh how badly he wished he didnt know that smile. That pretty smile which he had fallen in love with.

He smiled back hiding the pain in his heart as
his confusion faded into betrayal. All the missing pieces fit into place as the realization kicked in.

"It was you."

"Yeah," Minho said, the grin not leaving his face.  "Hide and seek is over!" He walked closer as he dragged his axe along the floor. The stained iron left a trail of blood on the ground till where he came and stood in front of Jisung.

He lifted the heavy metal as he spoke in his honey dripping voice.

"Can't believe you forgot that I had always been a good voice actor."

And then he swinged.
