Cali's POV" Say hope you have a great therapy session mommy!" Key said as he made AK give me a kiss.
" Thank you Papa." I smiled back.
We was at my therapist office just as my name had been called. I was finna get up until Key said something to me.
" Karin, do yo best today. We gone be out here waiting on you." Key said as he sat down with AK in the waiting area.
I nodded my head as my therapist office.
" Hello Caliana. How are you this morning?" She greeted me.
" Hi. And fine, I guess." I said as I took a seat.
" Ok, our last session you was telling me about your childhood. I kinda wanna dig a little bit deeper into that. If that's alright with you." She asked.
" It's ok."
" You said you grew up with your cousin Trey and his friends. Shy, Bezel, and the friend you made Ashley. So, let's talk about Shy since he's first person I named."
" What about him?"
" Can you tell me about Shy? What was your relationship with him was like? Were you two close?" She asked.
" We've known each other since I was 8 and he was 10. Shy was handsome, funny, charismatic, and he had a smile dat was contagious. We started dating when I was 15 and he had just turned 17. He was my first kiss, my first boyfriend, the person I lost my virginity to, my first love. He was my everything. Our relationship was great. He was good to me. He treated me how a woman is suppose to be treated. He spoiled me, and did whatever fa me. As unbelievable as it may sound, we neva had a real argument. Whenever I would try to start one, he wouldn't argue back with me. He would just kiss me on my forehead, and tell me to come talk to him whenever I'm ready to have a civilized conversation with him. Then, he would just walk off leaving me standing there looking dumb as fuck." I laughed as I thought about it.
" I could tell him everything and he could tell me everything. He was my confidante, and I was his.
" How did your parents feel about you dating him?Where they accepting of the relationship?" She asked.
" Like they loved him as a person, but they didn't like him fa me. If dat makes sense. They felt like I was suppose to be dating somebody from my school or somebody from the neighborhood we lived in. Not somebody from da streets. They felt like I was too good fa him, but in all honesty it was da other way round. He was too good fa me. He was too good fa this fucked up cold ass world." I said truthfully.
* Flashback *
I walked out of the house as I seen Shy's gray Mercedes Benz parked in front of the house. I walked towards his car, and got in.
" Hey baby." I said as I gave him a kiss.
" Wazzam, hea." Shy said as he handed me the food he ordered fa me.
" Thank you. Cause I really didn't feel like going nowhere."
" I know dat's why I got it. Cause ya lazy."
" Whatever. You done for the day or you still got stuff to do?" I asked as I opened my food to check to make sure everything was right.
" Yeah, I'm done fa the day. Why? Wazzam?"
" Well, dat mean you can stay hea with me tonight. My momma nem gone, and won't be back until tomorrow afternoon." I smiled excitedly.
" You know I can't do that."
