"So yeah, I didn't mean to smack you into the wall," Zeldris said sheepishly as he took a few steps in Gelda's direction. Ban shuffled over to his wife. Meliodas stood between the two. A blank look on his face. No one knew how he was going to react. Tristan and Lancelot ran to their mothers.
"Urm, Meliodas?" Elizabeth pushed Tristan behind her "Are you okay?" Meliodas head hung low. Elizabeth was about to go over to him when Meliodas lifted his head.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Despite hearing the story, I still don't remember that day. So I ain't really too fussed about it"
"Dad, You frightened us! We thought you were gonna lose it!" Tristan scolded his father as he pushed past Elizabeth. The two stared each other down. When suddenly, Meliodas scooped the lad into his arms and begun to tickle him.
"Sorry dude, Just wanted to freak ya uncle Zeldris out!" Meliodas apologised.
"That is twice you have done that" Elizabeth scolded. Meliodas put Tristan down.
"When was the first time?" Ban frowned. His head snapping to the window. He huffed as he walked over to it.
"We were at Istar. Merlin had sealed like 10 per cent of my original power after I nearly lost my rag 20 something years ago" Meliodas wiggled his pinky in his ear.
"Was that when we got framed for killing Zaratras?" Ban kept his gaze outside.
"Yeah, Merlin smacked me around the back of my head. Anyway, We went to get some training and I got it back and what has got your attention?" Meliodas changed the subject. Ban looked over his shoulder.
"That dude who was Estarossa but is now Mael is here and is arguing with your sister. The purple hair one" Ban pointed.
"They both have purple hair" Elizabeth rolled her eyes. Tristan ran to the window.
"I never took the time to learn her name. It's the one I threatened back in Vaizel" Ban shrugged. Tristan craned his neck upwards.
"Why did you threaten Aunty Ronnie?" He scowled.
"She trapped the captain in a gem and tried to force your mum to go back to Liones with her" Ban sighed. Tristan nodded.
"Why is the most useless twat here?" Zeldris folded his arms.
"He is not useless" Elizabeth stated.
"He is the last of the Archangels and wouldn't even help us defeat The Demon King. He hid in the shadows like a wimp. At least when he was Estarossa he put up a fight" Zeldris pointed out.
"I'm sure he had his reasons. He did give Sunshine back to Escanor" Elizabeth clasped her hands in front of her.
"And look how that ended up. The solar panal ended up a pile of ashes"
"Zel, Enough. I sure the walking windbag is here for Tristan's birthday. Nothing more" Meliodas put his hand on Zeldris's shoulder "Even if it was yesterday"
"Can I leave before he gets here?" Zeldris mumbled. Elizabeth stood up from the table.
"No need. I'll keep you two apart. Tristan, Please follow me. We shall greet Mael" Elizabeth held her hand out. Tristan ran to take it "Please refrain from breaking anything" Elizabeth eyed Ban and Meliodas, Who both held up their hands.
"We'll behave" They both said. Elizabeth nodded and lead Tristan out of the room.
"I think you pissed her off" Ban mentioned as he looked at Zeldris.
"No, If he had, Zel would be through that window" Meliodas pointed behind him.
"Meliodas, Has Elizabeth ever slapped you?" Gelda sat down on a near chair.
"Once. I had lost like 97% of my emotion and was hell bent on becoming Demon King. I had taken Elizabeth to Camelot and we had this chat and I may have told her that her promise was the only thing that matter. She raised her hand and I told her if she was gonna slap then to get on with it" Meliodas winced as his hand touched his cheek.
"Just how hard did she slap you?" Ban tilted his head.
"She used her ARK, Didn't she?" Gelda bit her lip.
"Was this when she escaped? That big explosion and I found you flat out on the floor?" Zeldris chuckled.
"Yeah, It wasn't a little ARK either. It was a Big ass one" Meliodas widen his arms. He heard chuckling from the left of him. Lancelot was in a heap on the floor "I'm so glad that my agony is giving you such great entertainment" Meliodas sulked.

After half an hour, Elizabeth returned with Tristan and he was now playing knights with Lancelot. Meliodas was right, He was here for Tristan's birthday. According to Elizabeth, he hadn't brought him a gift as he didn't know what to get him.
"At least he turned up" Ban shrugged. He looked out the window.
"What now?" Meliodas sighed.
"Just checking the sun. We need to get going soon"
"You wanna tell him" Elaine pointed to the children.
"You tell him, Kid never listens to me"
"Does anyone?" Elaine question. Ban poked his tongue out at the Fairy. she then floated off towards the children "Right Lance, Get your bag! It's time to go!" Elaine spoke. Lancelot stopped chasing Tristan around the room. He turned to his best friend, Hands in his pockets.
"I gotta go" He sighed. Tristan frowned at his best friend. He then grabbed his wrist, Spoke something under his breath and the pair ran off.
"Get back here you two!" Meliodas shouted. The boys ignored him and ran towards the door. Meliodas sighed and pinched his nose "Ban if you please" Ban grinned as he cracked his knuckles. He strolled out the door and held his arm out in front of him. Within seconds the two boys were in his grip.
"The hell?" Tristan wiggled "Put me down! You big tree!"
"Tristan, Stop. We may as well give it up, We can't escape his grip" Lancelot huffed as Ban out Tristan on the ground.
"Why not?" Tristan demanded to know.
"It's his power. Snatch" Lancelot sulked.
"With my powers, I can giveth and I can taketh" Ban grinned as he went back into the breakfast room "Two small fries, As required" Tristan ran to Elizabeth. Ban still had hold of Lancelot.
"Do we have to go? I wanna hear more stories of Meliodas journey?" Lancelot complained as he wiggled out of Ban's grip "And put me down!"
"Manners" Elaine ran her hand over Lancelot's hair as Ban dropped him on the ground "And yes, Sweetie. It's a two-week ride back to the Fairy realm"
"One more story" Lancelot clapped his hands. He then spun to Meliodas "Please?"
"Last one and then you need to go home" Meliodas nodded as he held up one finger. Lancelot and Tristan cheered "Right, Everyone to the front room, I eat anymore food, I'll burst"

The kids ran ahead. hey started to pull off the sofa's cushions and covers and found their places in front of the fireplace. Elaine giggled.
"What?" Ban smiled as he wrapped his arms around Elaine.
"Think this is the quietest he has ever been" Elaine commented as the adults gathered around. Zeldris was the furthest one away from everyone. This was hardly surprising to anyone. Zeldris was hardly a people person.
"What life do you wanna hear?" Meliodas slouched on the sofa.
"What was the worst one you ever lived?" Tristan tilted his head.
