"Is there any food you haven't tasted yet?" Elaine spoke. Elizabeth put her finger on her chin.
"Not that I can think off. Having this one as a chef kinda changed that" Elizabeth pointed at Ban. Who did a little head nod.
"Then I will ask this, have you ever been drunk?" Elaine smiled.
"Well, Yes. It was about 10 lifetimes ago"
"Was that during your pirate life" Meliodas tilted his head at his wife.
"I believe it was" Elizabeth smiled "But someone told me that to be a pirate, You need to be drunk" Meliodas whistled and looked around.
"Can imagine who told you that?" He grinned.
"You were a pirate?" Ban cocked an eyebrow.
"Well, Not by choice. It was safer to act like one back then than it was to be a woman"
"Why?" Lancelot and Tristan asked.
"Back then. Women were treated like crap" Ban replied "They had to be wives and run the house while men got to do what they like"
"They couldn't be knights?" Lancelot tilted his head.
"Nope"
"Man, That sucks"
"Life was like that back then" Elizabeth sighed.
"Did you get to see anything good as a pirate?" Gelda spoke.
"I saw a mermaid once. And the Kraken" Elizabeth responded. Everyone but Meliodas looked at her.
"Kraken? Sounds like booze" Ban sung.
"You got to meet The Kraken?" Zeldris sounded impressed.
"Yes"
"We gotta hear that tale" Zeldris walked a little closer to the group.
"After the drunk Ellie story?" Elaine's head spun.
"I forgot we were talking about that" Elaine mumbled "So can Goddesses even drink?"
"Yes, We can and we ain't like you that gets drunk on a single sip" Elizabeth smiled "But I do get drunk quicker than this one" Elizabeth pointed to the blond Demon.
"Do Demon's even get drunk?" Ban sang.
"Well, Yeah. To a point" Meliodas scratched his head. Zeldris shrugged.
"What do you mean by that? I've drunk with you so many times and how my liver never gave out, Even with me being immortal" Ban raised one eyebrow."We can drink an entire bar and only feel tipsy" Zeldris folded his arms.
"Dad, When was the last time you were drunk?" Tristan looked at his father.
"I was with your uncle Zeldris" Meliodas half-smiled.
"3000 odd years ago? That was when you were last drunk? With me and the commandments?" Zeldris jaw dropped "That was a very strange day"
"Pretty much. Allow me to tell the tale"

{Flash-Back}

- Meliodas's Pov -

One day, not long into their time second time in the Human realm, The Commandments came back to their base to find the place in disarray. And in the middle of it, all was Galand, their newest addition. He sat cross-legged on the floor, swaying slightly from side to side. It was almost as if he was drunk, but that was basically impossible for Demons. Even if he'd drank all of the village's ale, he should still have been stone-cold sober.

I should have known better when I asked how Galand came to be so intoxicated and Galand produced an almost empty barrel, I was surprised (mostly tired but still surprised) Zeldris, however, was nodding and smiling at his teammate. He carefully pried the bottle out of Galand's hands and took a deep swig. He grimaced at the taste.
"Ale's better" he noted, staring down the neck of the bottle.

The Commandmentswas were staring on in horror. That had just happened. Galand had managed to get himself drunk by drinking, and apparently, Zeldris was content to join him. Melascula broke out of it first, taking Galand's face into her hands while she shouted at him. "Why would you drink Devil's Brew?! The Demon King's special brand?" Galand smiled up at her.
"Well my dear, I drank it to get drunk, obviously" Melascula continued to glare at him. He sighed "I haven't been drunk for 500 years. I wanted a night off from all this crap and have fun for once"
"It was bound to happen eventually" Grayroad agreed as she sat down next to Galand and Zeldris.
"What?!" Melascula demanded.
"We live a hard life, Melascula. Booze help" Zeldris shrugged.
"Devil's Brew isn't the same as booze!" I spoke. I looked at my Brother and it was rather, strange to see him relax.
"Might as well be for us" Aranak piped up. I looked over my shoulder at him. He held his hands up and back away.
"Does The King know your drinking this?" I frowned.
"Kinda. Told him I wanted to poison the Goddess Realm, Since this stuff is rather deadly to them" Galand explained. I felt my heart go into my throat.
"I hope Elizabeth is okay?" I was mentally panicking.
"Did any of this go to the Goddesses?" Fraudrin picked up an empty bottle.
"Nope. I got 5 cases and I have only drunk half of one" Galand cheered "Join me, friends!"

In the end, most of the commandments were curious enough to at least try it, Even Gowther was willingly taking a swig from the bottle. Zeldris was finishing off his half of a crate. He smacked his lips with a strange look on his face.
"Galand, You were right, Ale is better" He agreed. It was nice to see him happy and chill out. Instead of the grumpy arse that he is.

That was enough to convince Deriei that she desperately needed a drink. She drained a whole jug on her own, eager to forget the day she'd had.

Melascula, for her part, was eager to enjoy something alcoholic for the first time since she'd had joined The Commandments. She took her drink in a wine glass and quite liked it.

Once Monspeet had succumbed to temptation, I felt it pulling at me. I was a man of strong will and prided myself on my self-control. But even I couldn't deny that I was curious about Devil's brew. I've been around my father when he was drinking it but I was never allowed. Only ale from the age of 150. But I also had another reason for not wanting to drink it. I couldn't risk opening my mouth about The Goddess Elizabeth and my relationship with her.
"Come on Captain. Have a sip" Melascula waved her drink in front of my face.
"Brother, You need to relax. Father won't find out" Zeldris picked a bottle up and threw it at me. I caught it with ease. I looked at the red liquid.
"Fuck it" I sighed. One bottle won't hurt. I took a sip and found that it was rather pleasant to drink "Damn, Dad brews some quality shit"

And then there was only Fraudrin. He flat out refused. Apparently, we were going to need babysitting.
