The car ride there was quiet but not awkward. Dream was constantly glancing over at George trying to figure out what triggered his panic attack this time.
As for George, he was staring out the window, taking in the fact that he likes Dream. He started to realise that he had liked him for a while now and it wasn't just a crush. He adored Dream more than anyone before and it wasn't going away anytime soon. He couldn't help but feel slightly relived because he figured out his emotions but part of him was sad that he'd most likely never get to be with Dream.
Sapnap wanted to come along with them but Dream had only booked two tickets so here they were, sitting in silence until they got to the cinema.
They decided not to get popcorn since they already had dinner so they went straight through to the room, making sure it was the right room this time.
As expected, there were only about 6 people in there so they walked all the way to the back and waited for it to start.
--------------Time skip--------------
They hadn't really expected the movie to be good but they hadn't expected it to be this bad either.
The pair couldn't help but laugh at the quality of the production, terrible acting and especially the cringy writing.
It had been almost an hour and the boys were struggling to keep a straight face. They were getting a few annoyed looks but they didn't care.
Out of nowhere, one of the main characters called Archie began talking. "That means you haven't known the triumph and defeats, the epic highs and lows of high-school football."
They burst out into laughter. To the other people in the room it was a normal thing to say but to them it was the funniest thing in the world.
This definitely got them weird looks so Dream tried to calm the hysterical brunette down. George took deep breaths while looking Dream in the eye.
Slowly he became more serious but neither of them broke the eye contact. With no warning, Dream put his hand to George's face and wiped away a tear that had formed from the laughter.
Without realising George looked down at Dream's lips. He only did it for a moment but Dream saw it. He moved his face closer to George's so slowly that he didn't realise what was happening until their faces were just inches apart.
"Can I kiss you?" Dream's voice was low. George only replied with a small nod and Dream leaned in closer, connecting their lips.
They exploded with butterflies.
It was a very soft kiss with limited movement until George slid his hand to Dream's chest and up to his neck.
"You don't know how long I've wanted this." Dream mumbled into the kiss.
George sped up a little and Dream slid his tongue into his mouth.
Then George started getting a little too excited (if you know what I mean) and he pulled away quickly.
They just sat there for a second, staring at each other and trying to process everything.
"Wanna leave?" Dream whispered. George was speechless so he just nodded in reply.
Dream took his hand and led him to the exit and then to the car.
As soon as they got seated Dream spoke. "Does this mean you like me?"
"Yes it does. Does it mean you like me?"
Dream laughed. "Of course it does."
"But I don't know if we can be together."
Dream's heart sank. He was just feeling so much joy; he didn't think anything could bring him down. But this did.
George sighed. "Let's just say I've had some bad experiences with relationships. I know you'd never do anything to hurt me but I think it's more about other people."
"What about other people?"
"Well I guess I just wouldn't want people to judge us. Not just because we are two guys though. I can't really explain it."
Dream put a hand on his thigh.
"George, no body has to know."
George's face lit up.
