It was day three at Itadoris place.

All the three days were chaotic, it was a complete mess. Either Fushiguro was scolding Yuji for doing something stupid, or it was them either causing an unnecessary ruckus all over the house. It was as if Fushiguro was handling two kids at once, both father and son shared the same stupid brain cell.

In the evening Jin and Fushiguro were having a chill game of Mario Kart in the living room, while Itadori went out for a jog.

"Hey no cheating! That's not fair!" Jin was on his knees intensely drifting. While Fushiguro was just relaxed, he laid back on the couch and played very coolly.

"I'm not cheating, you're just bad at it."

"Hmph! You and Itadori are just the same!"

'How old is he again?'

"Give up uncle, you know you aren't going to win, right?"

"Ugh you're right. Anyways, I need to get back to work."

"Is there a new case?"

Ever since Jin told Fushiguro about his line of work, he's always been interested. Whenever Jin would sit down to go through a case, Fushiguro would always accompany him and watch him. Just by doing that he figured out how drug and human trafficking works, how some minor and major mafias operate, how people can launder money and all that.

He finally found his type of job, he believes he's supposed to be where the thrill and fun is. He wasn't interested in doing a nine to five desk job. That's what boring people do, he wanted to do something cool or interesting. And because of Jin, he finally found what he's interested in.

Jin sat down on the dining table with Fushiguro besides him.

'He looks like a puppy.' Jin chuckled and smiled.

"There's nothing much in this case, just a company getting filed for embezzlement and drug abuse."

"Embezzlement?"

"The dictionary meaning of embezzlement is 'theft or misappropriation of funds placed in one's trust or belonging to one's employer'. Or rather, I give you money, a large sum of money, and you steal the money I gave you. It's a very common thing, sometimes you don't even notice yourself doing such a thing.

But those small, small thefts go unnoticed. But such things don't go unnoticed in huge businesses. The vice president stole a large sum of money from the company boards and then bought drugs with it. But poor fellow forgot to cover it up. He eventually got caught. End of story for him." Jin explained while typing out his report.

"Woah... Imagine having that much money."

"I know, right. Y'know, you remind me of Yuji when he was young..."

This peeked Fushiguro's curiosity. He knew the current Itadori ( he thinks so), but he wanted to know what the baby Itadori was like, was he still stupid as he is now? Probably, yes.

"According to me, Itadori had a sad childhood..."

"Mom! Catch!"

Young Itadori threw a frisbee at his mother, which she caught easily.

"Your turn, sweetie!"

She said and threw the frisbee back. Jin was just sitting on the side and looking at his happy family while taking photos. Itadori's mother was a police officer and she was a very brave one. She had a really beautiful face and enough strength to strike down ten men. She was the ultimate power woman.

But since she was a police officer, her cases were fairly hard as well. She was involved in finding murderers, gang hide outs, drug dealers and their sources. It was a risky job, but she still managed to make time for her precious son and husband.

"Yuji, lets get going home, yeah? It's getting dark."

"Okay! Can we have ramen for dinner?"

"Sure sweetie, would you like chicken soup with it too?"

"Yes, yes, yes!"

Jin chuckled and kissed his son on the cheek.

"Let's get going."

Having played a lot, Itadori slept a little on the car ride home. Since they noticed their son sleeping, they decided to talk about serious matters.

"How's your case going?"

Her current case was to find a famous drug supplier in Tokyo. Without her husbands help, she wouldn't have been able to find his location. Now all she had to do was to put him down.

"It's going great, we've gathered enough people for the infiltration plan, after that everything will be improvisation."

"Improvisation? That's not a good idea. It would be if you structure a full proof plan y'know, so you don't have to take risks..."

"Jin, I understand, but we don't have enough time..."

"I get it, just be safe."

"I will, don't worry. I promise."

The promise didn't last. She was killed on duty. She shot the drug suppliers' head, but then his men shot her, the bulletproof vest wasn't helpful.

During her funeral, Jin was trying his hardest not to cry, and Yuji just didn't understand, he too, was on the verge of crying. No one told him why they're here or why his mothers picture was hung up on the wall, and there were so many people in a uniform.

"Papa... I don't understand..." That's when his tears spilled. "What's going on? Who are these people? Where's mama? Is she gonna come too?"

Jin started crying, he picked up Yuji and hugged him tightly. Some officers started silently crying too. 'Poor kid, he didn't have to go through all of this at such a young age.' Is what all of them thought while wiping their tears or blowing their noses.

"I'm so sorry son, I'm so, so, sorry..." Jin cried even more.

"Why are you saying sorry? Did papa do something bad?"

"No Yuji, don't worry about it, okay?"

"Okay..."

"He only understood that his mother passed away when he was seven." Jin said with a sad smile.

"Oh..." And I thought my story was depressing...

Jin got up from the table and smiled, a genuine one.

"What would you like for dinner? Today I'll cook whatever you like."

"Oh then... Could we have something Chinese?"

"Sure!"

They heard the front door open and shut.

"I'm home!"

Fushiguro went out of the kitchen to see Itadori standing in front of him with a huge smile on his face.

"Keep smiling like that."

"Huh?"

"I said, keep smiling like that."

Itadoris cheeks were now pink, he looked away while shyly nodding. That's when Fushiguro noticed.

"What's in the big box?"

That's when two heads popped out.

"Itadori..."
