He was immersed in his game to even notice the time. That's one reason why he liked gaming, it just takes you to another world, like another reality. He enjoyed that feeling.
He quickly finished his game and went down to eat.
"Hey dad! What's for dinner?"
"Hey, I bought some sushi and katsudon. Also, I have something important to tell you."
"Oh? Okay..."
They sat down on the table and started eating in silence.
"So... What's that important thing you wanted to tell me?"
Jin cleared his throat and placed his chopsticks on his plate and looked at Yuji seriously. It's been a while since Itadori has seen his fathers serious face.
"You'll be having a roommate."
"Oh okay, that's something to be-- WAIT WHAT!?"
Jin sighed and continued eating the delicious sushi that was placed on his plate.
"Aren't you gonna explain?"
"Oh right, remember when I told you that I'm going to meet this friend of mine?" Yuji nodded and continued eating. "Well... He has to travel out of Japan for some work, his daughter is sick and she's in hospital. His son can't stay alone. So I asked whether he'd like to drop his son here. The two of you are the same age, and coincidentally go to the same school. He'll be here tomorrow evening."
Yuji nodded, he was feeling sad for the guy that's going to be his roommate. But he'll have to adjust for the time being.
"What about his mother?"
"They had a divorce."
"Oh... His life is sad, isn't it?"
"It is son, it is. Oh if you're done eating, can I have your sushi?"
"Huh? Why would I give you my sushi of all people?"
"'Cause I'm your father."
"Are you, really?"

Yuji chuckled and pushed his plate towards his father, he got up and wished his father 'Good night' and went to his room.
He quickly turned his computer on, just then he received a bunch of messages from the group chat.
