'I'm sorry, do you have a problem with me?'

'I don't know, Do I? Do I?'

'I think you do'

'Apparently you were a little mean to him in high school'

'A little bit? You made my life miserable'.

'I-I-I'm- I had no idea, I'm sorry'

'Well, you should be... Screw it, bring up the...'

January 12th - A week later

The faded sound of the TV made her eyes feel heavy every time she kept her eyes glued to the screen for too long, she has been staring at it for a while, and even when she knew every line of that scene to perfection, she just felt the need of entertaining herself with something that was familiar for her, because now that it seemed like she had nothing to do, all she wanted was to find the joy in the little things.

She didn't know how many hours have passed since she woke up, when she did she just set herself up to this, some time passed, but she didn't either, she just didn't know. It was a Sunday morning, she thought, she hasn't checked on the calendar, but she knew for sure there was no valid reason why she would have to leave her room today, it was her free day, and she was planning to do that very thing all day long. No class, no exam, no compromise, no energy. With a bit of luck and enough talent to find a good show other than Friends she might even have the chance of finishing a whole show by herself. She needed to get up to date after all, she thought, she used to do these things with Tom in the past, when he came back, and they could binge on anything interest or get a hold with movies they've never seen, but now that they were on a break, it might even be a good idea for her to do it alone; she didn't need anyone to accomplish those sorts of things.

It was hard to tell how many days had passed since her life gave a turn she wasn't expecting, she wasn't counting, she didn't care either; all that she cared about at the moment was how weird she felt inside and how much she missed her old life, everything changed in just a second, and now they were here. Him doing god knew what, and her laying on her bed, alone and watching a show she has seen about fifty times on repeat without complaining once. If that was the definition of break, she didn't know if it was worth it or not, but she did now, all she wanted was to take her mind off of reality, but even that seemed too difficult on her.

She closed her eyes...trying to relax didn't help like everyone said it would.

A knock on the door interrupted her in the middle of the scene, a door knock that eventually translated into someone opening the door without her giving them the greenlight and catching her red handed, laying in bed and doing nothing. She didn't want to be seen like this, at least she could have grab a book or her rubix cube to make it seem like she was doing something, but luck wasn't on her side anyways, she was condemned to look like someone that just have zero things to do for the rest of her misery.

"My mom told me you can't stay in bed any longer" she heard her cousin say with a tired tone, holding the door open without making his way in yet.

She didn't even bother opening her eyes, she didn't want to see anybody, even Frank, who was probably the only shoulder she could lean on, this time she just wanted to be alone.

"How does she know that?" She mumbled, staying still on her bed, facing the television, almost pretending to be focused on sounds of the screen.

"Because she told me I should tell you if you aren't downstairs or cleaning your room in ten minutes, she's sending you back to Canada"
