Aizawa shoves the door open -eyes still red and puffy from crying. And looks around at the kids in front of him.

More than a few are injured and bandaged. Izuku has a mostly healed broken arm, the large cut on Ojirous tail is bandaged and Katsukis face has multiple bandaids on it. Many others have injuries as well. All still seem exhausted but had to stay bye see they had been told they had to be told something.

By now multiple students had realized one of their friends was missing and they were clinging onto the hope that he was simply in the nurses office but were still dreading the announcement.

Shota stayed silent for a second just trying to gather up the ability to tell everybody the terrible news. Apparently he'd been silent for too long as the short brown haired girl tentatively raises her hand before speaking out.

"U-um Sir? I noticed that Kaminari is missing. He's okay right?"

Aizawa's heart tightens in his chest and he sighs sadly.

"Actually, he's... Not okay." He takes in a deep breath and then breaks the news "he's... Dead."

The class was frozen in shock, much like their teacher first was.

"I don't believe you!" Shouts Kirishima "he's not, dead!"

Aizawa's heart breaks at the pure despair in his voice, new tears welling up in his own eyes.

"I'm sorry I wish it wasn't true."

everyone was silent, all trying to process the information they just heard.

Mina was the first to break. Her loud sobs echoing throughout the classroom as she collapses into the arms of her friends. Kirishima whispered soothingly to her trying to comfort her in the midst of his own salty tears. Sero also joined the hug, crying like most others.

Uraraka was crying as well, hands on her face and being held by her girlfriend Tsuyu.

Izuku was crying big fat tears rolling down his freckles cheeks and dripping down his chin and onto the floor as he leans his head back against his friends.

Aizawa looked at all of his students pain and regret filling his chest because he knows he should have done better, he should have been there to help Denki.

Even Katsuki was crying silently. He had quickly gone to join the hug with Mina and his friends. They had all sat on the floor and Bakugou tried his best to comfort them though feelings weren't really his thing he was leaning against his own friends as his tears mixed with theirs on the floor of the classroom.

Everyone was crying, Tokoyami, Jirou, Iida,   Sato, Koda, Yaoyorozu. All of them. And why wouldn't they?

The class idiot, the funniest person they had in their classroom, a valued member of the Bakusquad would no longer be there to make everyone smile at his antics. To roll their eyes at his attempts at flirting and terrible pick up lines.

He wouldn't be their to try his hardest and learn, to push himself even when he goes brain dead. To thrive as a hero and a friend. He was just gone. Nobody cared about their injuries anymore even the ones that hurt, it didn't matter not anymore.

A week or so later Kaminari's funeral took place. All the students had shown up and most were crying silently. Some were stoic at first trying to be strong for the others. But they too broke when they saw Denki's casket in the ground.

Apparently the injuries had been too bad for them to have an open casket so they weren't able to actually see their friend. Which, given the state of his body, is probably for the best.

The Kaminari family was heartbroken his little sister was only 5 and didn't fully understand what death even meant but the idea of never seeing her goofy older brother made the poor girl sob violently her parent trying and failing to comfort her.

Aizawa went up and gave a speech, followed by his mother and then by Mina who spoke for the Bakusquad alone and Iida who spoke for the entire class.

As they all filed past the casket in which their dear friends body was held they said their final goodbyes and words before each putting a single rose on the casket the other still counted tightly in their hands.

After everyone had finished they went back to their spots. After the casket was lowered into the grave the roses were set aflame by a pulling of a petal. These roses were special roses that were made by a friend who has this as their quirk. The flames can't hurt anyone nor catch fire to anything around them but the Rose.

After the roses were burned and the only thing that remained was ash on the ground everyone started to leave the funeral.

After all were gone the wind picked up and blew the colored ash all around and a single small lighting strike struck the air as if the sky and wind themselves were giving a tribute the boy who lost own his life when saving others.
