Eli's eyes slowly opened, his head was pounding. As he fully gained his consciousness, all of the events from this morning came back to him. As he was remembering everything, he realized that he was no longer in Nick's house.
He looked around the room, instead of a cozy, small room. It was a ginormous hall with black, stone walls, the same thing with the floors.
He tried to stand up but his wrists and ankle were bound in chains. He tugged at the chains but to no prevail. He could feel the anxiety and feeling of hopelessness seep into his skin as he sat there on the cold, stone-hard floor.
The hall was silent, with no noise other than the clanking of the chains and the sounds coming from the torches on the wall. Though, the silence was disrupted by the creaking of the huge, stone doors that Eli somehow hadn't seen.
In walked a tall man, he was as tall as Nick and was much more muscular than Nick. Nothing about him stood out. Well, nothing except for his glowing red eyes that stuck out from his charcoal, black hair, one streak of white that couldn't have come from old age. He had a strong build and a skin that made it seem as if he hadn't stepped foot outside in days.
Eli stared as the male walked towards him. The man was wearing a tailored fit suit which was unusual to Eli because it was summertime. Though, who was he to speak? He's still wearing a jacket over a sweatshirt that's over a t-shirt.
The man smiled and kneeled in front of Eli, he spoke formally, his voice crawled up Eli's spine in a bad way. Both his presence and voice could make a man crash to his feet.
"You're finally awake, how are you feeling?"
Eli stayed silent.
"Not going to speak? That's going to be a problem."
Still, Eli stayed silent.
"You know, this is showing you mercy. I usually don't let my prisoners rest and I execute them before they have a chance to beg for their life. So, speak now or face the consequences."
Eli jerked forwards and examined the man's face, "Who are you?"
The man stared at Eli, he was going to speak but was interrupted by the doors swinging open. Both Eli and the man whipped their heads over to see a tall, lean man standing in the doorway.
"Sir, she found it."
The man sighed, he stood up and walked to the door. He and the other guy left the room, the guards closed the door behind them.
As they walked down the hall, the lean male handed the taller man some papers. The taller man spoke with a strong, and powerful voice.
"Go to Calypso and make sure my item is returned safely."
"Yes sir."
"And Finn,"
Finn stopped in his tracks and turned around, "Yes sir?"
"Don't ever interrupt me like that again or I won't be so kind about it next time."
Finn's eyes that were usually a dull, cloudy grey had shown a bit of fear in them. "Yes...yes sir." He hurried away from the man.
Finn pulled a small, silver ball out of his pocket and threw it to the floor, a portal sprouted open in the middle of the hallway. He stepped through the portal, stepping onto a grassy hill. He looked around the grassy fields, there was a small breeze flowing through the plants and trees. The tall male walked down the hill. He stopped at the bottom of the hill. There were dead bodies everywhere, it was a horrid sight. In the middle of all of the bodies was a girl, she was covered in blood.
Her blank, white eyes narrowed as she stood up.
"You're late."
"All that blood looks good on you. It brings out your eyes," Finn said. Calypso punched his arm and grinned. Finn smiled and spoke, "We should head back now before Darian ya know..."
"Yea."
Finn pulled out another silver ball and threw it to the ground, both Finn and Calypso walked through the portal, stepping into Darian's office.
"Where is it?" Darian asked, Calypso reached into her pocket, pulled out a sharp dagger, and set it on Darian's desk. "Good, now tell me, have you found anything that could trace back to that human that was found at the castle walls?"
Finn and Calypso looked at the ground in shame "No sir..."
Darian stood from his seat and walked over to the two, Finn flinched slightly. Darian put his hands on Finn's and Calypso's shoulders. He tightened his grip. "Don't come back into my office till you figure out how that human got here, or else..." Finn and Calypso's shoulders began turning to stone.
"Yes...yes sir." they both mumbled, Darian, smiled and took his hands off of their shoulders, and the stone slowly disappeared. "Good, you're dismissed." They turned to walk away "And Calypso," Calypso turned around.
"Yes sir?"
"Clean yourself up, you're bleeding on my carpet."
"This isn't my blood sir, sorry sir. Yes sir." she turned back around,
They hurried out of his office. Darian sat back at his desk and continued going through some paperwork.
Beatrice stumbled a bit and dropped the pot of potatoes. Nick caught it before it could hit the ground.
"Are you alright?" He asked.
Beatrice nodded her head and smiled softly, "yes, I'm alright. Just got a tad bit dizzy right there, I'll be fine"
