Chapter eleven: IS THIS A HAPPY ENDING!!?

Finn dodged all of Althea's attacks, he had no magic, only his dodging skills, and his spare teleportation sphere. He threw it everywhere so that he could jump in a jump out to lay a blow on Althea. Just as he was going to knock Althea off of her feet, she grabbed him by the ankles and threw him to the wall. He tried standing but felt a sharp pain in his tail bone which kept him from fully standing.

Eli was in the corner watching as they fought, he had to stay there because it's what Argus had wanted him to do. Eli could somehow understand Argus like Iris.

Sitting in that corner made Eli feel even more worthless so he chose to get up and help out Finn. He stood up and ran over to where Althea was. As he was charging at her, a portal open and Nick stepped into the room.

"Nick!" Eli smiled but just as Eli stopped, Althea grabbed Eli with some vines, they wrapped themselves around his neck.

"Althea! Let him go. This is between you and me!"

Althea smiled and dropped Eli to the ground. Eli quickly ran to the side to see Ophelia standing over an unconscious Calypso, Argus stood next to her with Iris in his arms.

Nick sighed and threw off his bag.

"One weapon, Nick! No armor."

Nick nodded his head and took off any armor he had been wearing. He reached into his bag and took out a long, sharp, and black sword. It had a stone on the hilt, it was jet. There was a blessing over the sword that was put there many decades ago by an old magician.

Althea didn't take another second to charge at Nick, she blasted a blow at Nick. It missed Nick's shoulder by an inch. Nick swung his sword at Althea and purposely missed.

Althea threw another blast at Nick, Nick quickly dodged, grabbed her by the wrist, and threw her to the wall.

Althea grinned and stood up, "Didn't know you could fight like that." She charged again, Nick dodged but still got cut on his hip. He winced at the small sting. He swung his sword which only grazed Althea's shoulder. Althea ran at him again, she cut his leg and punched him in the stomach. Nick hunched over, holding his stomach.

Althea stopped and turned to him, "giving up already? You didn't put up much of a fight-"

"Althea!"

Althea turned around to see Beatrice standing near another portal, you could see Darian laying on the floor on the other side of the portal.

"Althea, you do not know what you are doing. Come home and we can get you out of this predicament, promise."

Althea's attitude changed like a switch, that's the effect of Beatrice's presence. "Beatrice, I'm not going home. I have to do this for Alvaro. He promised to strengthen my powers so that I can heal Alvaro and so that I can heal you to get your powers back."

"He lied!" Beatrice shouted at Althea, she flinched. No one had ever heard Beatrice yell like that before.

"He lied. How do you think I lost my powers? After years of knowing him and helping him with his magic, he betrayed me and took away my powers while I was asleep. I woke up to find out that he'd disappeared. Years later, he managed to make something so diabolical that it could take away all of the magic and energy from our world and Nick's world."

Althea fell to her knees and held her hands to her head. "No...no...NO! This wasn't supposed to go this way...they all lied. You are all liars!"

Althea stared at the ground.

"Do you all enjoy lying? Nick, you told a lie that broke all of us. Telling us that you would return the next day."

"But I did return."
