I can't die like this, I have to make it back. I can't give her another heartbreak because of me...
The sound of rough rustles passed through the long grass echoed through the silent night sky. A hurried cat tussled through the meadow while not tripping on his own paws. His breath heavied, the cold air showing his big puffs of air as it rose to the starry sky. Along with his puffs of air more appeared, though none coming from him.
From afar, two other roguish-looking cats were right behind the hurried cat. Even though he was running as fast as his legs could give him he was outmatched easily by the two rouges. Being swiftly pounced onto the cold ground, the tom could feel the leftover air in his lungs quickly escape him once he hit the ground. The hard feeling of claws dug through his long gray tabby fur.
"Not so fast now, huh? Cursed scum." The rough sounding she-cat that had the tom pinned said she wasn't as out of breath as the other rouge now catching up to the other two. The once shining moon was mysteriously hidden by dark clouds, along with the shimmering starry sky now revealing a darkening appearance of a white she-cat and tabby tom.
"You will come back with us willingly back to camp, or else I'll inflict the harshes of punishments that you'll be begging for death."
"That's a little harsh don't you think Frost?--"
"Quiet your mouth Timber, we were ordered to take back this prisoner. Unless you have forgotten the threat our leader told us he would do to us if we were to fail to retrieve him?!"
Frost's harsh tone made the rouge almost jump out of intimidation. He didn't respond to the she-cat's question, only muttering a quiet "yes" towards her as he took a step behind not wanting to endure the she-cat's dagger stare any longer.
"Good. Now as for you--"
Before Frost could finish a loud crack of thunder rumbled from a distance making the she-cat jump from shock, allowing the tom under her claws to use his hind legs and push the she-cat off of him. Using up the lasting energy he could use, he was able to get back on his four paws, lunging away from the two rouges, ready to make his escape once again.
However, as he was able to make the first couple steps ahead he met face to face with a quick blur of what he could make of another rouge. Before he could react, the blur of a rouge hit the tom creating a brash impact creating the tom to be flung lengths away from where he originally was. Whatever was left of his energy was now fully gone. His vision was now blurry after that hit, each blink making his visual worse as he could barely make up three cats coming towards him.
Trying his hardest to get back, something sharp and piercing dug under his belly. Shakily looking down he came to notice a large icicle quickly formed was stabbing under him. All he could do now was bite back his scream of pain as he could feel his blood begin to sweep down the icicle.
"There, now you won't be able to escape from us again!" Frost gruffly said, her voice almost like venom as she dug her claws deep into the earth miraculously at the same time making the icicle grow even bigger, deepening the tom's wound even worse causing him to finally scream in pain coughing on his own blood as he finally fell into the, now, damped ground.
"Don't kill him just yet Frost," The other rouge that was in a blur was finally visible. He was tall, menacing-looking as scars littered his patched tabby fur. His challenging amber eyes met leveled with Frost's blue eyes. Even Frost was intimidated by him as she lowered her head almost in embarrassment as her claws dug within the ground loosened just a little.
"S-Sorry Hawk, it's just this infuriating cursed scumbag didn't want to cooperate and is just making things difficult." Her attempt of excuse fell deafly towards the menacing tom's ears as he slowly stepped closer to the wounded tom.
